I didn't really get how everything worked but this was still the best take on the theme I have seen so far. You have managed to have randomness that you feel like you can controll and have strategis around. Great work!

interesting game, took quite a bit to understand exaclty what was going on, even after the tutorial, however i'm not sure if a better tutorial would have helped, it's a complicated game. 

once i figured out how the game worked, it was super fun, and i'm glad i put the effort to learn the game, but learning the game was dificult

Very interesting game design with so much depth! I don't think I have seen one like this yet in this jam. I think if you guys worked on the polish of this game, it can turn out to be a really fun strategy game!

I had to really pay attention to the tutorial, but really, it isn't that complicated. I think big screens of text are just a generally off-putting way to explain things, but I get it. It's tricky to visually demonstrate everything.

As for the game itself, the variety of dice and how nukes worked made for some interesting strategies and situations. When the enemy sent five d4s down one lane, I just ignored them cause they would wipe themselves out sooner or later. Then I had a single d20 that kept pushing back a lane of 3 or 4 other dice, but then he blew himself up right before the end. :(

I ended with a score of 33220. This is a neat idea, and a multiplayer version of it could be a lot of fun!

The idea of different dice sizes having different probabilities of getting a crit, so d20s are good for regular pushing while d4s are good for nuking a row is really interesting! Agree with the comments that it was a bit hard to understand all the different parts, but it's hard to explain all those different mechanics slowly in the limited time for a jam game. Really great core idea!!

You can't understand the joy I get, when I see comments like that. Making a complicated strategy game in a jam was a hard decision to make, but seeing people understanding the mechanics and commenting makes it worth it.  Thank you very much for playing and for providing feedback. As LRFLEW mentioned, some visual reminders of rules would be helpful, I think a goal beyond score would be nice too. At first I thought that the territory lines got pushed by the dice and this could be a good way to show how the war is progressing and have some end condition like pushing three lanes to your opponent's side.

Also, a small bug: when you sell a 20-sided die from research the game gives you 3 materials back instead of 2.

yeah, we figured out the bug, after releasing the game, and the rules of the jam don't allow us to change it :(
-exploiting it in order to create infinite d20 was kinda fun tho :) -

A very interesting concept for sure. The way that the science lab and barracks work seems arbitrary and I didn't understand the tutorial's explanation the first time through. There might be some ways for it to be visually clearer, such as adding a "10" somewhere around the barracks as a reminder of what the goal is there. I also wish the dice types were easier to distinguish (at least for someone like me that hasn't played enough D&D). Once I got a hang of the game, though, I really liked it.

Interesting idea.  It's not super clear what determines a round win/loss (or like which direction each row is going to progress).  Is that just what sum of the dice is bigger if there's no boom?

The gameplay is highly addictive. The concept might be hard to grasp at first but when you play it. Wow! This game could be play for long time. The tactical and planning is perfect. Simple but clean. Great job!
