Great job! Ironically I think I got my highest score when I rolled a 1 on my initial HP roll, guess I was way more cautious because of it hehe :)

Cool idea, that you play on the dice and each roll decides the pips/spawn locations. It feels a bit unfair, that the initial life/energy is determined by a roll as well. Maybe start with three lives and then give player the opportunity to collect more lives in the game (those could be rolled)? At one point I think I saw an enemy vanish into a pip. If this really is so or if you could implement it, this could be an interesting mechanic, to lure the harder enemies into the pips. Overall a good and creative jam game, nice job!

I enjoyed this game! The gameplay reminds me a classic shooting games.

It was alright, I had some problems where the enemy spawned almost on top of me which gave me no time to react and avoid taking damage but for your first game ever this was a good job!  Some feedback for you would be to make the enemies unable to spawn too close to the player to prevent the bad feeling one gets when you take damage from seemingly nowhere. The background with the rolling dice was a bit distracting, partly the sound but also the animation. I think this would be alleviated if you zoomed out the camera so that you could see the entire playable area and reduced the background sound coming from the dice.

I really like the way the monsters spawn! Fun little  shooter game. I could see this being expanded to another few level configurations.

this was a fun little shmup! i especially like the concept of your health being determined by dice roll.
