As I'm sure you're aware, this isn't the only game out there with this puzzle design, but oh boy did you do some great things with theme and adding in extra puzzle elements. I really liked the aesthetics; it makes a big difference to how the game feels compared to just "dice in a void". Good work!

Very cool puzzle game! I like the artstyle, good job!

This is a well made puzzle game with great pixel art, even though I'm terrible at these puzzles.
The music loop was pretty jarring, though.

Developer(+1)

yeah... I wasn't able to get the loop quite right before the game jam was over. I have it somewhat fixed in post though! Thanks for playing!

I really enjoyed your game's aesthetic! The music, backgrounds, and even the way you animated the 2D die rolling impressed me. Great work!

I'm on camera trying your game here if you'd like to see, a timestamp link to your game is in the description!

Developer(+1)

I'm glad you enjoyed it! I just hopped on but I'll go check out your video right now!

Developer(+1)

oh, and our game was made for the 800x600 res of the webgl build, that's why there were so many issues with the background that you had.

Thank you, the stream was fun to be on thanks for the interview!

Nice puzzle game. It's not my kind of game but it is a full and solid game. I appreciate how you teach a player basic mechanics. Music nicely fits the game. Good job!

Developer

Thanks so much! I'm glad that the atmosphere was enjoyable, even if it wasn't your type of game.

Great game, the music and graphics are very good! Love that space theme, and those next move indicators are a great plus!

Developer

I'm glad you enjoyed the visuals! Thanks for playing!

Solid puzzles, but a lot of them can be brute-forced by just rolling in circles until you are oriented correctly to step on a button. The rooms with the dice you could roll around could also benefit from a tile that your die can sit on but the others cannot, so you can get them off of walls and corners without needing to reset.

Developer

Good tips! Thanks for the feedback, I'm glad you enjoyed the puzzles.

Very well made game, with a cool concept! Although I think there could be a clearer way to commuincate to the players the numbers, the roman numerals also tripped me up a little.

Developer

I'm glad you liked it! Yeah the roman numerals were planned to be toggleable with number but we didn't get around to adding that feature. Thanks for the feedback.

Best game so far and highest rating too. Not my kinda game though. Not into puzzles but solid game play and I could see myself wanting to try again.

Developer(+1)

I'm glad you liked it even though puzzles aren't your thing.

I like the puzzles! Too much for my brain

Developer

It was too much for me in the beginning too lol.

Fun game! I've seen  a few games in this jam with the same premise, but this is probably the most polished. Great job!

Developer(+1)

thanks a bunch! i worked hard on the art :D

Interesting puzzle game!

Developer

Im glad you enjoyed it :)

Very cool idea and quite challenging! The puzzles were well thought out, some nice variation there to keep things interesting.

I thought the music was good. Art style was very simple but effective.

One minor thing I noticed was I was able to move through some of the walls on level 2-1, not sure if that was intentional.

Developer

Thanks for playing! Making it that far is great. Yeah I accidentally put those two walls on the floor layer. Whoops!

Submitted(+1)

The space background is really cool, and I also liked the music.

Developer

Thanks for playing, I'm glad you liked the theme!

Interesting game, I like using the "roll" as movement of the dice.

I found the roman numerals a bit confusing, could have been easier if they were semi transparent dice or something else.

Good job though, very cool puzzles.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing! That was a concern for us, and it turned into basically a stylistic decision to add the roman numerals, to allow players to see what thte next face was. But yes, if we had more time the next few features to add were ui indicators instead of on die and changing between roman numerals and regular numbers. Thanks for the feedback!

Submitted(+1)

wow, that was really good. while this type of bloxorz/htwins-cube-roll puzzle game has been done to death in the jam, this deserves major credit for providing an intuitive visualization of the dice. at first it's like trying to understand four dimensional space, but then it just becomes brilliantly clever, and was probably the best rendition of this type of game i've seen yet, mainly because of it. i dunno, that aspect just really stood out to me. other than that, gouda level design and atmosphere as well.

Developer

I'm glad you liked it! When we were fist rendering the cube it was hard to visualize it for us as well, it took a while to get the 3D cube visualized in 2D. We thought the indicators would allow for better planning.

Submitted(+1)

Good, I had no problem with the dice or anything, all worked fine for me. Thats a large game for a weekend, good job!

Developer

Thanks! It was a grind, but I'm happy about the result.
