How does your game fit the theme?
FRÜTLOOP takes place inside a giant wheel, each platforming challenge is repeated over and over, yet augmented both by the player's actions, the environment, and the slowly increasing speed of the wheel.

Great game! The art is cool, love the little fruit characters, very cute! The controls feel nice, maybe the jump is a tiny bit short, but it's probably the fact that I'm terrible at platformers haha. I don't feel like there is one, maybe I'm wrong, but a little input buffer for the jump would be nice I think. The fact you have the choice of replaying the same level is such a nice touch, next step is being able to share the seed maybe?! All that for a first game? Very impressive, excellent work!
Thanks so much! You’re right on the input-buffer and it was the first thing we ended up trying after the Jam; the improvement in controls was immediate so it’s a great learning point we’ll be taking forward! Thanks again!!
Cool game!
Wow :0 super cute game! Definitely one of the best I’ve played so far in terms of art style, and it seems really well done. I knew from the start when the names showed up with that animation that this game was gonna be good haha.
Great job to you both :) I gave 5 stars to everything
Honestly, +this was probably one of my favorite entries. It felt so cozy, the art, the feel and the gameplay felt really polished, the little sounds when the text appears, the small movements, great work. Really.
Thank you for the kind words, especially about the art - Megan Kent
Thanks so much, it’s massively appreciated! Whilst with hindsight we wished we spent a bit more time fixing up the controls and physics, the overall “vibe” felt as we intended and it’s definitely given some newfound confidence and experience for future endeavours! Thanks again!
This game looks really good and it's a cool idea. It would be nice with some more variety in the obstacles, but you did well with the time you had. Also, you should add jump buffering.
Thanks so much and absolutely spot on with the feedback; wished for even a few more hours to add more variations! And as for jump-buffering, funnily enough just after the deadline I tried simply changing the input check from "on keypress" to "every frame" and that one change completely transformed the responsiveness of the platforming; so definitely adding proper input-buffers like you suggested in a "post-jam" update. Thanks again - Michael
Wow, great game! Loved how the level changes each loop duration and how it's randomly generated! Great art style too!
FRUITLOOP CREW! Thanks kindly, Megan did a fantastic job on the art, shall defintely be swinging by your Itch soon!
Cool game!! One of the most original ones I've seen so far :)
You did a great job! Good luck with the Jam :D
Thanks a bunch! Figured if we try to put a spin (pun intended) on a familar idea we could have something we knew works as a concept whilst still being a bit experiemental. Plenty learned for next time round! (pun intended again!)
That was such a cool idea, I really enjoyed it. I couldn't get tooo far but that was really entertaining trying to play while keeping the next loop in mind.
Thanks so much! Would definitely like to dial the challenge back a bit for balance and focus on the evolution of each loop, but it was a fun experiment regardless!
This one was great. Definitely a creative and cool idea (at least that I haven't seen before), and I absolutely love the art and aesthetic of it. Nice job!
Thanks so much! It was a fun first-jam!
Cute game and graphics! I felt like the hitboxes were a bit unforgiving at times, but the controls were good otherwise. It was fun to see the morphing of the level over time. Great work!
Thanks kindly! Fully agree on hitboxes, would have loved another day just to really polish up the moment-to-moment gameplay, but that's Jam baby!
This is one of those times where I wonder if I am even good at games. I had the same blocks come at me like 10 times in a row in an attempt to not die and it took me so long. I loved the overall vibe. The colors are wonderful and the art is grand. Great work!
Thanks so much! The challenge is part-design but also in part a lack-of time to balance and polish (amongst lots of input/hitbox bugs). Post-jam we intend to spend a day just brushing up the bugs and levels to have something a touch more refined and controllable. Thanks again!
haha nah it was on me. I kept hitting reset and then made the same mistake over and over again.
Such a fun game to play on TikTok LIVE! Will be playing again 🫶🏼
Thanks boo 😘
It was a fun little game! The rotating effect on the level is very trippy and very cool. The presentation reminds me of old school retro games. The collision problems cause a bit of a headache and a lot of unfair deaths unfortunately but nothing that can't be rectified with a bit of extra time in the oven!
thanks kindly! Agree on the collisions, was a real sticking point (lol) in development!
Very polished game :o was too hard for us we instant die a couple of time the first time haha
The music and sound design was great !
Thanks so much! I’d have loved to have tone down the difficulty, I definitely think more playtesting (and better collisions) would have gone a long way to helping!
Very charming little platformer. Deceptively challenging to time your jumps, even when it's still moving slow. But while still being easy to hop in and play. Excellent work!
Thanks so much! I’d love to have said the challenge was intentional, but I’m more certain it was a lack of playtesting hahaha, thanks regardless!
The art is amazing!! So simple and well done. Generating the levels must have been such a pain to figure out but such a cool mechanic
Megan absolutely nailed it! Funnily the randomised element initially came about as a way of making things easier and extending the gameplay, but in itself created a whole headache of issues haha. Thanks again!
Enjoyed this very much. Would have liked more of an indication of how far round the loop my fruit was but other than that really good! Nice work :) Cute fruits!
Thanks! That’s a really great idea and would be easy enough to implement, would definitely better sell the ‘loop’ element!
I really like this game. Simple, but very fun! Totally seeing this as a perfect game on my iPhone!
Thanks so much! Very much looking forward to trying your submission; everything about it is VERY up my alley!
Nice idea with the litteral loop. I really like the looks of this game!
Thanks kindly! It was good fun to make and we learned a lot!
So proud of this
