How does your game fit the theme?
You must loop through the symbols to sign the contracts (end on the symbol you started), and the whole game is you doing the same task over and over again, which is signing contracts

Really cool game and amazing art :D

Developer

Thanks for playing. How many souls were you able to collect?

Submitted(+3)

Saw your comment on our game's page and decided to check it out! You're right, we both have drawing mechanics but did different things with it! We did think of doing a game where you need to commit signature fraud, haha!

Awesome game, I particularly like the spooky sound design of it! It was also satisfying when looping many documents together!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing. Nice think we didn't have a similar game we would have filled for fraud. haha. Initially looping may documents was not the idea but we tried it out it really felt satisfying.

Interesting take on the theme. Plenty of games are doing time loops on death, so clearly there must be a lot of paperwork for someone to deal with. It would have been nice if there was an alternative way of moving the papers from starting to sign them. A few times when I meant to grab a paper it was just close enough to start signing instead. I'm thinking either right click and drag to move, or a modifier key, like shift, with left clicking. Possibly making the controls optional, such as leaving things working as they do now, but if you hold shift it will only move the paper and not start signing.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing. Haha, we took care of their paperwork. That's actually a good idea. Right click would just grab the paper no signing, so you can just move it around. Left click if for signing but can also be used for moving contracts. I like this idea. This would give a lot of player different style of gameplay.

Very Cool Art with creative idea

Developer

Thanks for playing. All thanks for our wonderful artist and sound team. They really put the life in the cursed souls.

Submitted(+4)

Enjoyable fun for the whole family (and cursed souls)

Developer

Thanks for playing. Hope your family enjoyed as well. Were you able to save any cursed souls or was it too late because you have signed their contracts already?

Super well polished game!

Developer

Thanks for playing. How many souls did you harvest?

Submitted(+3)

This was a really cool interpretation of the theme. I like the risk and reward for setting up large spreads of paper to sign all at once with the risk of losing lots of time if you mess up. The artstyle is also pretty cool.

Developer

Thanks for playing. Yes, it's all about the risks you take. If you successfully sign a big combo fast then you will be rewarded with bonus time as well. What was your highest combo?

You can watch the vod of me playing here: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/2531283277?t=00h40m17s

I think my highest was around 3,000.

Wow, really cool concept. It's super fleshed out and fun to play. Nice job!

Developer

Thanks for playing. Were you able to reach a combo higher than 10?

Submitted(+3)

The concept and style are really awesome

Developer

Thanks for playing. Hope you enjoyed. How many nights did you survive?

Submitted

I believe I played around until I got all the upgrades, it was really fun!

Also, congrats on appearing on the GMTK live today!

The detail is insane! The eye following the pen, the little illustrations on the paper, wow. It was also a clever interpretation of the theme. Wonderful!

Developer

Thanks for playing. Thanks for noticing all the little details. We also had a small idea where, when you do combo the eye would slightly change giving you that the eye boss is happy. We ended up keeping it simple. I guess sometimes simple is enough. I am really happy that you also noticed the little illustrations on the paper.

Really cool! Love the Art and the mecanics ! The fact that you can do multiple papers and validate them by dragging one and pushing the other felt really good !

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing. At first we were not sure whether to keep it or not. Then we kept playing with that same mechanics which gave us a feeling that it's a great feeling of just pushing things together. And that's the story of how that mechanic stayed in the game.

Submitted(+3)

Cool game i really like the premise, artstyle and gameplay. One i figured out to overlap the pages I was getting some crazy combos, very satisfying and can see a lot of potential for this.

Developer

Thanks for playing. Once you know that you can harvest more souls with combo you become unstoppable. Combo with Proper use of machines is the perfect gameplay to harvest all souls.

Submitted(+3)

Solid base! Would actually quite love to see this more polished up (upgrades overlapped so it was impossible to read some of them :') and added to!

Developer(+1)

Hey Sky, how are you?
Yes, there are some known bugs, like the upgrade you just mentioned, so sorry about that.
But hey, we are glad you enjoyed the game!

Submitted(+4)

Really creative idea. Would be cool to iterate on this a bit more with more production value and more value to upgrades.

Developer

Right on, Coeur!
We are still talking about how we could improve and expand the game.
Thanks for the feedback :D

This is a great game! I love the idea of signing papers as a roguelike, and, given the time constraints, I think this is about as well as you could have done. However, I would recommend adding more substantial upgrades, as the ones there are almost useless (for me at least). This is a really fun game though, I'm glad you were able to make this in 2 days.

Developer

Hey Feasty, thanks for the feedback!
We are glad you enjoyed playing our game. ;)
It was no easy feat making it in just 2 days.
Every one of us deserves some sleep now, haha!

a really cool game concept with a quickly addictive gameplay loop and a really nice DA, musical atmosphere

Developer

Thank you, Valentin. We are glad you liked it. We are taking all feedback into account. It means a lot to us <3

Glad to see someone make a spin on Papers, Please with some multiplier action! :D A lovely concept.

I have a single critique with the time I spent on the game, and that is that when you take a new paper, sometimes it can get launched directly into the upgrade machine, which doesn't look intentional. Maybe it's just about being good and adapting, haha!

Nice work!

Developer

Thanks for playing. Haha, yeah the contracts are just tossed at you with force and sometimes they do get sent directly to the upgrade machines. We are calling it a feature and not a bug, hehe. But I get your point for sure. What was the highest combo you achieved?

Submitted(+1)

Uh, I can't recall, but I think I had 4 papers and a few of them had 5 spots on them. :D And obviously a few of them went through the upgrade machine. :D

Developer

You forgot the souls who's contract you signed? Damn that's bad. haha. Yeah I can understand the pain of them getting throw directly in those machines. There's upside to that as well that after every 5 sec you get an upgrade contract.

Submitted(+2)

Really clever concept and a great mashup of different genres/games. Loved the art style too. Full gameplay here. Thanks for submitting to the stream!

Developer

Thanks for playing. I really enjoyed watching you play. The machines were on the bottom and that's why there was a timer. They were upgrade your contracts.

Submitted(+3)

I really liked this game, by far the best artstyle and audio. really addictive gameplay loop (pun intended). Congratulations on this amazing work.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing. I am so happy that you liked it. It is indeed addictive. It's been almost a day and I keep coming back to play this small world that we created (Pun Intended).

Submitted(+3)

Fantastic game! I like signing "bottomless contacts" :D

Developer(+1)
