Very solid, the game almost didn't even feel like a game jam entry! It was just a bit confusing to play, but with different levels and by introducing different mechanics at different times, I'd say it's pretty much release worthy in very little more dev time. Good job!
This is such a good idea!!! The art works so well, and the music makes it all fit together! Snake in such a way is great!
Woah love the twist on the classic snake. It took me a second to pick it up but having which block is the head of the snake control what abilities you have is very elegant. I wish there was a better way for me to plan ahead with picking stuff up, because as is you really have to take what comes and deal with it when you end up with 5 point increasers in a row. Overall it’s very satisfying to manage your size by blowing stuff up XD
This game is insanely cool! I love the idea of classical snake with power ups and enmies and just generally more complex mecanics. It feels awsome to play and is super polished. I wish the passive abilities were a bit stronger though. To me it felt like it was optimal to use the active abilities a lot and never grow too big as the passives werent that useful and the active abilites would often times lead to you getting more parts that can be used activley. Overall this games super fun!
Really impressive work. The game looks awesome, is polished and the theme is good used: 5/5!
A few suggestions for further improvement:
- Logo Redesign: Consider using a white font with a black outline. The 'L' could be styled as a snake!
- Countdown Timer: Add a countdown at the start or start the game with the first input.
- Dynamic Game Over Screen: It looks a little static currently. Include more stats like "Blocks Destroyed," "Distance Traveled," "Longest Tail," and so on.
- Upgrade System: Maybe some survivor-like upgrade system where players earn Exp to enhance their snake with better parts.
New Snake Parts Ideas:
- Chainsaw Block: Allows the snake to destroy enemy blocks when passing through them.
- Directional Damager: When this block changes direction, it damages a 2-block-wide area around it.

Damn such a cool concept! It's like bomberman and snake in one game. Definitely in my 10 top for the gamejam. Art is polished, gameplay is solid and theres a lot of incentive to keep playing.
Honestly, for me this is a top game of this gamejam, easy to play, clever idea, clean artstyle.
Consuming the body when using the spell is really good.

Very nice looking and the polish is great - music was slightly annoying.
Gameplay was fun and a good twist on snake with each power being unique enough for me to enjoy it.
Nice casual game, that could be a decent puzzler etc for mobile
