That was a really cool game!

I like how you jammed two genres together, and very juice. Good game!

Nice twist on a classic. Not sure if it was my PC but there was like 1 second of lag when I hit the ball which was a bit jarring.

Thanks!

The lag is actually intentional - it's a mechanic widely used in fighting games, called hitstop. It's meant to make it clear that the hit landed and give you a moment to see where the ball is gonna go, while also adding a bit of juiciness to the gameplay.

Took me until the very end to realize that I could move up and down, and then it become a completely different game. It was fun trying to juke out the paddle.

Epic game! Very fun!!!! I absolutely loved every second of it!!! GG! This has been the most creative Breakout game I've seen so far. I only have one comment: When I get a row could the camera move up so that I don't get stuck? GG! I love your game!!!

Could you try my game, too?

Very polished gameplay, the screenshake and slowdown add a lot of juice to the game. Great job!

Fun take on the theme, the controls are very well designed

A simple but well-executed idea! I will admit that I am a dummy and didn't realize the astronaut could move up and down until I was penned in by the blocks. It feels satisfying to juke the paddle out--it takes some skill to spike the ball in the direction you want. Since this is reverse breakout, it might be cool if there were some blocks that, when broken, made the game more challenging by triggering some negative effect. Having multiple balls on the court at once could be cool!

Wow I got some real fun here.

I got to play two completly different gamemode in the same game. Firstly i didn't read the input. I discovered in crisis that I could move side to side and shoot the ball. Never did I though in my first game that I could move up or down. It was hell of a game but I won through dirty strategies using my opponent weakness.

And then came my second game. This time I took the time to read the tutorial ^^. It wasn't beatifull to see. A flat out victory.

Overall the game is challenging and fun to play. The lack of music didn't bothered me since we are in space. Would play more to it if more content were to be added

Solid game!

The concept is really great. My only feedback will be about the gameplay if you plan to build a post_jam version. It would be awesome to have more control features of the player and the ball.

Hey, had a lot of fun, I think it's a very creative combination of mechanics, congrats!

This game combines two arcade classics, 'Breakout' and 'Pong'. The result is a very fun tennis game. At first it wasn't clear to me that I could also move the astronaut in a vertical direction. Otherwise I had a lot of fun. Great work.

Nice pong-like arkanoid, would be nice to see leaderboards

This is a fun new twist on Breakout! I really like that earning a point gives you a new defensive line, and the opponent bot feels like a good challenge and is fun to outsmart. The art and effects are nicely done, and the difficulty was just right. Excellent submission!

An unusual design idea. It's nice to play.

Simple, but fun, design!  I dig the blend of the classic breakout/tennis games :)

This is the game I've spent the most time on yet.  It's fun!  And very polished

Thank you!

Awesome game with a lot of juice! Kept me hooked for a long time. I would've preferred if you had to stay on your side of the net though.

Developer

Thanks!

The "net" wasn't really meant to be a net, it just marks how far you have to get the blocks to win, but I agree that I should have added some limit to where the player can go.
