I think it's a decent idea, but it felt like I had no incentive to use the role changing mechanic at all. I kinda relied upon shooting fireballs and dodging enemy projectiles instead.

The sounds/music were too quiet for me even though I had the volume pretty much maxed out everywhere. Regarding the graphics, if you're going with pixel art style, I'd suggest keeping pixel size consistent everywhere; and the letter spacing on the ability selection screen is all over the place which makes it hard to read.

I liked the particles and damage splashes on enemies, but the screenshake, I think, was sometimes applied even when there was no apparent reason, which made it a bit distracting. Perhaps some off-screen enemies were doing their thing or whatever.

These remarks aside, good job on the game!

hey, thanks for a through-out review! I'll keep all those things in mind in the future, and possibly if i make a fixed version!

I liked the character art, but the roles could be more defined. a better visual and audio indication of what role they're in would make the gameplay feel better. The walls also feel very strong since your attacks go through, but theirs don't. Good work!

Art and sounds looking good for 48h jam. Gameplay simple and can be improve. Meow button very funny thing.

I like the overall idea but a grace period at the beginning of the round definitely would help. Essentially, once you spawn you are instantly getting obliterated. The art is good and the sound effects fit well. The main character kinda look like ocelot from Minecraft.

I have only one thing to say: Meow.

Great game!

+1 for dedicated meow button. The ability to change the battlefield state on the fly is neat, and could become a great tactical action game. It might be cool if you could recharge your reversals faster with good play, such as by perfect dodging. I didn't always agree with the game's definition of "role reversal". In my mind, the reverse of a sword projectile is a healing projectile, rather than a stationary spinning sword. That might just be me though. Good job :)

Cool game !

Has a Meow button. Instant 10/10
One small criticism though, the text for abilities get cramped a bit which makes it hard to read.

Cute game! I think having a minimap with the med kits shown on it could be helpful because there were times when I really needed that heal :')

Very clever take on the role reversal theme. I enjoyed playing this game.

Fun concept! Could be more readable. Love the meow button!

How do you tell if health kits explode?

I appreciate the ability to meow not only from the main menu, but also the game over screen, very good. It was cool turning enemies into allies. Cool game.

Loved the art style! Also the game ran smooth and the controls felt easy to use. Overall it is super enjoyable.

The meow button made my day!

Wtf I didn't know I needed a meow button until now! Mechanic was a bit complicated and it wasnt immediately clear what reversing would do (l like swapping places with urself)  but this one was definitely an interesting one!

Thanks for the review xd, was waiting for you!). Meow button is the best thing i've made in my games to replace exit button for browsers)

Very different approach to roles reversed. Really like idea of changing abilities. The boss fight was very fun since you can see full power of all abilities and even use them against boss himself (sword counters him so much), little note boss stopped using any ability except sword for me and since he got bad range and I kept distance he couldn't damage me at all.

I like the concept it would be nice if my allies follow me around. Meow button sounds juicy!

Excellent result in such a short time!! Very cute cats, interesting gameplay implementation. There is a small drawback - a large cooldown after taking damage, but this is not so critical. Great job!!
