Nice game! I like the duality and the game juice!

Developer

Thanks!

Solid gameplay! Loved it. The mech is heavy, the guy is fast.

With enough time you could make this game a platformer or more levels, maybe some upgrades.

5/5

Developer

Thanks!!

Fun idea and nice risk reward mechanic of having to balance between jumping or shooting. Enjoyed it a lot and the characters look real cute. Nice job.

Developer

Thank you!

This was fantastic - love the pixel art, and thought that the switching mechanic was really unique and felt great to use. Would love to see more levels if you ever develop this further!

Developer

Thank you so much!

a cool little game, and I enjoyed myself quite a bit :) I love that you decided making 8x8 sprites, the game does look good. and my highest score was 39!

Developer(+1)

Thank you! I love small pixel art!

it's such a vibe right? and if I were a solo-dev I'd utilize it too :)

Developer(+1)

Yup I'm actually thinking of making a solo commercial game and I would definitely use it!

Interesting game. The way level wraps around reminds me of original 2D mario games.  I like how you go between being able to shoot and being able to move quicker

Developer

Thank you!

The main concept is cool! Maybe would've worked better in a platform more than a survival, but I can say this has some interesting vibe! GJ

Developer

Thanks! I don’t think I would have had enough time for levels, but a platformer could be cool!

Really cool game, loved the feel and movement in the two states, how the mech felt heavy. Nice job!

Developer

Thank you so much!

Well done game. Looks and feels very polished. Would love to see more enemies and levels down the line, would be nice to have more incentive to get out of the mech. Music fit great too!

Developer

Thanks! I agree that the much is much more useful, and I would have loved to add more enemies if I had time. I’m glad you liked the music!

The visuals and music are great! I liked the screenshake and squeeze effects

Splitting the mechanics in two was very cool however i think being out of mech is very underpowered, overall great game and had a lot of fun playing it!

I would love it if you try my game!

Developer (1 edit)

Thank you! I agree the mech is much more useful, I’ll make sure I test the game more next time! I’ll make sure I try your game!

Great visuals, great concept, and somewhat fun to play. only somewhat because it isn’t as actionpacked as it could be, Super Crate Box (Vlambeer, Steam) would be a great example for what kinds of things this game is missing.

Developer

Thanks! Super crate box was one of my inspirations, unfortunately due to the short time I couldn’t make this game as action packed as it should have been, but I hoped it would still be fun anyway.

Love the game idea, but you don't really need to switch between the two. Just standing at the bottom with the mech and shooting seems to be the dominant strategy.

Developer

True. I like to switch away from the mech so I can go and collect coins, but I guess they’re not necessary to get a good score.

This is a really cute game , its fun but not for too long. I really like how you also have a tutorial lol.

Developer

Thanks! The tutorial took a while lol

dividing your mechanics, jump and shoot between two modes is genius! I just wish the mech was a little tankier

Developer (1 edit)

Thank you! I was going to add some health for the two player modes but ran out of time because I couldn't figure out how to have different hp, for each one but keep it when you switched so you couldn't just switch to replenish health.

Submitted

Awesome game! I like concept of having two different player experiences when you swap characters.

Developer

Thanks!

Great presentation and concept, but switch between mech and normal guy seems a bit arbitary, especially since movement isn't really encouraged.

Developer

Thanks! Thats why I added the coins, to encourage you to move around with the normal guy

Problem is the screen is so small you often have to react quickly to dodge, so the mech being unable to jump often led to death.

Submitted

Very nice control

Developer

Thanks!
