Glad I found this before the rating period ended, because it's one of my favorites! A bit hard as others have mentioned, but really engaging once I got into it. Also gave me flashbacks to working in a call center.

You know what they say, better late than never! We're actually planning on adding a few things to the game these next weeks in order to make the experience less harsher. Thank you for playing! Glad you liked it. :^)

A neat idea, but I was awful at the game. A difficulty setting would be greatly appreciated.

Developer

Yup! The difficulty curve it's too steep and the absence of a tutorial makes it all even worse. Something to improve in the future! Thank you for playing!

fun game but sorry to everyone who didnt get their call (there was a lot)

Developer

Don't worry, it happens to the best of us. I'm sure they'll be fine. ;^)
Thank you for playing!

Such calming music for a stressful game! I got addicted to this one -- the time limit shocked me each time because I just got so involved with pairing the phones together. I liked that the time to complete each call was enough to where I could manage them with enough focus: I think I missed like 1 or 2 calls. I also really liked that there were variations on what the people wanted: some you had to look up a name, other needed an address, a state, and some even just gave you a break by telling you the ID they wanted. The balance there was wonderful! And to top it all off, it it just presented so nicely. It's simplistic but also so nice to look at. I have played some good games during this jam, but only a few like these have I gotten really addicted to. Thank you so much for this jam entry!

Developer(+1)

Wow, thank you very much for your kind words! We're glad that you enjoyed playing our lil' game. Hope to see ya in future jams! :^)

Really stressing and fun, reminds me of "Papers, Please!". The presentation is perfect for this game and the sfx are very well selected. Nice entry.

Developer

Thank you very much! Glad you liked it! :^)

A fun little game with just about the right level of heck-tic-ness. I did find the connection a little unintuitive as I kept trying to use my hand icon for the connection point rather than the end of the plug. Took me a while to get my head to make that connection. Had a fun time playing around with you game, good job.

Developer

That's a very good point yes. We should've made the cursor stick to the tip of the plug once you grab it, that's more intuitive and it makes far more sense to be honest hahaha! We'll probably change that eventually. Thank you! :^)

Very fun and hectic little game! It's quite addictive too, I've already finished it 3 times already.

Cutting people's conversation short by immediately pulling out the cable still earns you a good score tho. I wonder if it would be better if each phone call gradually gives you score instead of a one time score.

I can imagine this system supporting an entire game papers please style! Imagine if you need to keep track of certain conversation spy on civilians by government orders. Hope you continue to work on it post-jam. Feel free to come check out our game as well!

Developer

Thank you so much! Yes, the score system was kinda rushed at the end and it didn't really turn out how we wanted, but it's something! And yeah, we would love to do a fully fledged out project inspired by Papers Please. We actually have a game here that we made for another jam called PinPoint that is heavily inspired by it! Glad you liked it!

What a fun interpretation of the theme! And the background music is so satisfying! I think the sfx-sounds like the calls and inserting jacks are also very subtle and nice. For real - good job!

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much! Glad you found the sounds enjoyable, I felt like they weren't too good, but this is reassuring! :^)

Fast paced and hectic, took a try to get used to but found myself making connections pretty fast afterwards. I think what could've helped was being able to sort the address book in some way, maybe sort names or address alphabetically. Overall a really nice and polished game, nice one!

Developer

Thank you! And yeah, we wanted to implement the option of clicking on the ID, Name or Address and sort them accordingly, but we didn't have time for it. Maybe in the future!

Submitted(+1)

was a little confused at first until I realized I could flip through the address book, then was totally absorbed. Is this what being a phone operator is like!?  really fun and cool concept, well done

Developer

Thanks! It can be pretty confusing at first yeah, we would have liked adding some sort of tutorial or a "chill mode" but we didn't have much time left. And if this is how being a phone operator was like, I don't think anyone could've gone more than 5 minutes straight without losing their mind haha! We just went a little bit crazy with the calls' timings, oops. :^P

Outstanding game! Great Job on the atmosphere. I have to admit I first started the game without reading the manual and was overwhelmed, but it turned into fun as i read it, well done!

Developer

Thank you! It is indeed a lot of information thrown at ya right at the start. It's something we would've liked to work on more, but glad you liked it!

really cute and got sucked in when i realized what was going on. tho it can be quiet hectic and difficult at first

Developer

Thank you! It can become pretty hectic pretty fast even if you know what you're doing. We would've liked a smoother difficulty curve but hey, for now, let's consider it a challenge. >:^)

Very unique theme interpretation.
I like the cute art but it has a learning curve.

Developer(+1)

Thanks! Glad you liked it. The game's current difficult is what we're least proud of right now hahah. We might work on that in the future!

Submitted(+2)

The idea behind this game is good and its a great utilization of the theme, but its hard to play.  There is a lot of information thrown at you all at once and the rate at which calls come in at the beginning of the game is very fast.

Developer(+1)

Agreed, and it's something we were aware of! We would've loved to divide the game into levels and start with fewer jacks and plugs and escalate from that, but we had to stick with this for now. Thank you!
