I think you can add a grappling hook or something like that so the player can use it to not to get too far from a certain point so he can stay in conflict and still dodge and shoot bullets properly.
BTW, it's fun to play and visuals look cool. Well done :)
And if you had time, I'd be thankful if you try my submission <3
Fab aesthetics and fun idea (that also could've worked in the previous years jam!). With some speed adjustments and the like after the jam it could be a real winner
It's a lot of fun, the shoot to click could propel the player a bit more so it would make for more maneuverability and faster paced gameplay. But would also move the player to far away from enemies to quickly, so I think I see why you went this way. Effects are great and shots feel like they have proper impact, grappling hook is gold!

It would help a lot if you would rate my game as well, it's my first ever so would really appreciate the feedback! Thank you
Really fun! I wish the left click shooting would allow for a little more movement, I felt really helpless without the rockets and it became far more difficult to navigate the map. The rockets and the grappling were really good mechanics and if you plan on further developing the game, definitely streamline those mechanics!
Glad you liked it! Thanks for the feedback; to be honest, I agree. I had intended on adding more ways to get around but ran out of time. I’m actually continuing work on this, and I’m planning a system to reward players with a certain amount of fuel for rapid kill streaks, as well as a few other ways to get around the map. Hopefully that helps mitigate the problem haha
Game overall is good with an interesting concept (did borderline the same thing, but I can move in my game). Navigating with recoil is an interesting concept ! Though a bit frustrating since shooting enemy mean you are going back and have to redo the distance you already did.
Art is simple, but efficient, the music fit and work well, no bug found, so overall good job ! :)
Niiice! You can tell a lot of effort was put into this crazy fast pace game. Good job!
I would appreciate it if you'll have time to check out my game.
absolutely 😁 doing my best to check out anyone’s game who is kind enough to do the same for mine. Glad you liked it.
My only tip is about the speed with which the enemies appear, it is very fast! We think that with a greater polishing, it can become something really interesting!
thanks! I’ve actually been working on it over the last few days :) Done a bunch of bug fixing, tightened up gameplay, and I’m going to add some new features. Planning on updating this over time.
Really cool, worth giving it another polishing iteration to show its full potential :) mostly balancing (enemies respawn a bit too quickly and once you're losing your projectiles you're essentially stuck). Good job!
thank you! Yeah I’ve actually continued work on this since the jam ended. So far I’ve got an actual ship model, fixed a number of bugs, added a proper reticle, and im working on a few other things as well. I’ll definitely look into the respawn time (I think that’s a valid criticism) and I plan on adding a few other ways to move around as well.
Cool game! The controls were pretty easy and I could figure out how it works pretty quickly. Maybe you could make the loot of the enemies stay longer on ground, because they often just disappeared before I collect them. Great game tho. It makes me go YES!
glad it made you go YES haha I think since the grappling hook is one of the primary methods of getting around, that’s a pretty good suggestion. After all, it needs to be challenging, but I don’t think it necessarily has to be such a scramble.
Wait there is a grappling mechanic?!!!
Oh this game is so much better than I thought. Great game! I am sorry I didn't realize. Gonna change the rating!
OH NO hahah
yes there is! Right click on a power up to lock onto it, press again to zip towards it. You can chain a few together and get around pretty easily.
It took me a bit to figure out that the rockets should be used solely for movements and the enemies should be largely ignored. Running out of rocket seems to mean you're marooned usually so save those rockets!
Yeah rockets are definitely the fastest singular way to get around, but if it helps, you can actually gain a huge amount of speed by grappling onto power ups :) sorry, I had intended on making more clear in-game tutorials but I ran out of time hahah
