Pretty fun game and the art is really cool. Really liked how i had to switch between repairing my airplane and shooting the enemies. Good job!

The art is adorable and I liked the polish of having the airplane get visible damage as your health lowers. I didn't quite understand the repair mechanic, since by holding down R constantly I never really had a problem with repairs. Also the children cheering at the end of the level was really funny considering how violent the game is.

I suck at this, but I still really like it. xD

In a word: Whee!

It's fun to fly around, dodge then shoot foes and even repairing yourself (because it's funny seeing your plane spin around).

Only nitpick is that it's too easy to cheese the levels: you can just hold trust to propel your self to where the last enemies are then repair while you wait for enemies; you can also shoot enemies from miles away, so levels are easy to beat without ever seeing every opponent.

For 'better difficulty' (make it a tad harder), I recommend that the player's bullets despawn when they are off the screen, so players have to hunt down their enemies rather than picking them off in the distance. Also, showing all red arrows (enemy indicators) simultaneously when there are a few enemies left would make them easier on the eye (rather than flickering between a few different arrows).

Yeah! that would be a good idea, I also had the thought to space out the enemy spawns but I couldn't figure it out in time for the jam, thank you for the advice!

I like when a game throws you into gameplay quickly, and you did that well here. It took a sec to really get a feel for the controls but it ended up being really satisfying gameplay! Also really nice artwork in between levels. Very stylish.

Here's the game I did audio for if you wanted to check it out: https://itch.io/jam/gmtk-2020/rate/696287#post-1639104 thanks!

The game is basically luftrausers, but you executed the movement in a really nice way, the game is super fun to play :D And its a nice extra mechanic that the plane spins out of control while repairing, overall a quite nice experience :)

Developer

Thank you! As I was thinking up game concepts I vaguely remembered luftrausers and so I looked  it up to see how they did their movement and tried to code it similarly. Glad you had fun with the game tho :)
