The game seems pretty fun, but I would improve the camera movement to make it smoother, specially when you return into the cannon, and near the walls.

Also, have you considered converting it into a 2-player vs game? Like, skeletons of two teams try to get the wall on the other side!

Developer

Thank you! :d

I did not considered multiplayer, but that sounds great! :d

But it's unlikely i will make a multiplayer game from it, am just starting with 3D, and multiplayer is a whole new beast... :d

But if you meant split screen or vs a PC, that's might be something i consider. :d

I like the concept of one cannon ball.

A bit more time, some graphics, bug and ui tweaks and some new mechanics/object/enemies and this could be awseome!

Developer

Thank you! :d

Am thinking about changing up the concept a bit, instead of the cannon ball, it would be a tennis ball, and instead of you driving the ball back, you would have a faithful doggo, who you can control to get back the tennis ball, and have to watch out for the enemies with it, to not get caught on the way.

What do you think? :d

Üdv!
Mark streamjében láttam a játékod. Jó kis koncepció, bár az irányításon még lehetne egy kicsit dolgozni, plusz valami HUD is jó lenne. Mindenesetre jó látni másokat is kis hazánkból ezen a jamen! :D

Developer(+1)

Köszönöm! :d

Hát igen, sok mindenen lehetne benne javítani. xd Majd egyszer ha lesz időm ilyesmivel foglalkozni tervezek csinálni telóra valami hasonlót, de azt rendesen. :d

Hajrá! :)

Actually looks decent (except for the skeletons) and the idea at the core of it is fun. The controls make it almost unplayable though. I feel if you had half a day more, this would have been great.

Developer(+1)

Thank you for the feedback, i really appreciate you people taking the time to comment! :d

It seems to be a common opinion, that it got kind of unplayable and I can totally agree with that... :d

Am glad though that most of the people that saw the game said that the concept could work, so I will salvage that for later use. :d

Why did you not liked the skeletons, just because they have no animation or do you think the model is ugly? :/ I guess you can tell that I was going for a low-poly look, it was the first model that I made in this manner (had a little experience with blender otherwise, but really just learning the basics), and i was/am kinda proud of it, so it hurt a bit to read that. xd

the model looks good, don't worry, it just doesn't fit the abstract artstyle. If it were in another setting, it would be perfectly fine. Animation would be nice, though.

Great idea and concept! The execution is a bit wack though.
It's rather hard to control the ball and have it go the direction you want.
The camera is kinda... weird to control.

Developer

Thank you for your feedback! :D

Yes, the execution got rather poor, but the concept is kinda working. I think I will remake it from scratch with proper planning, coding, art etc. and release it for phones.

It's will not be the best thing in the store, but I would like to release something, and this might be project, that's small enough to do alone. :d

Astonishing.

I love the idea! But since you can speed up the ball, and reloading the cannon takes some time there is actually very little incentive to ever use it - I had better results just going around and smashing the skeletons on my own.

Developer

Thank you for your feedback! :d
It was my first game jam, and my first 3D game that was more than a basic controller...
I did not have much time to polish, balance or debug the game since i scrapped my initial idea 4-5 hours in.
I think the concept is kind of working, but would need a lot more thought, and the balance issue is real. :D
Am thinking about this would make a neat game for mobile, if it would be done right and polished.

Also I did the artwork too, the skeleton and the room 2 or 3 weeks before the game jam for another idea, and the cannon during the game jam.
Did you like the art? :D

Submitted

No worries! Great job for a first jam! And yeah - we all pretty much didn't have time to polish, as no jam is complete without changing the whole concept a few times. :D

The Skeletons were neat, did you also do the death animation? Sure thing, polish this a little, add some features and release it for mobiles, great idea! Good luck! ;D

Developer

Thank you! :D
Yeah, the animation(s) are mine too. But the death 'animation' is not actually an animation, the skeletons spawn a bone for each armature bone, but i messed up a bit, so it's spawning more than it should... xdd

(I had demo project where you can dismember the enemy, and I thought it would look cool here too)
