- Controls are a little hard but nothing too bad. I'm a fan of these types of games.
- A fun interpretation of the theme that is definitely unique to play. While controls and responsiveness aren't perfect it's not enough to detract from the fun silliness of it all. A solid entry.
- Physics and fat go together pretty well; I like this style of game play.

Man, this game is rough. The concept is good, and I definitely see a good starting point, but as it is right now? It's full of issues. My main ones are that Mari does not move smoothly at ALL. Like even when she gets big enough to roll at a somewhat speedy pace (because she is glacial starting out), she still feels so wonky to move. It's either you're going through molasses or sliding on ice, and either option results in you missing the food. My other main issue is that for Mari's early speed, and the rough controls, the actual goal of the game feels damn near impossible. She starts off so slow and impossible to control early on, that by the time you get some decent speed, you're only halfway with about a minute to go. And I'd chalk this up to a skill issue, if it wasn't for the previously stated rough controls. Last issue that I have is that I don't think the whole rolling into rocks for a jump mechanic works well at all, again due to the rough controls. Either you don't get enough height, or you get the right height, but just veer off and miss by a mile.
This game needs way smoother controls. better hitboxes on either Mari or the food (shit, honestly both), and a adjusted initial speed or an adjusted time limit. Again, there is a good game here I think, but as is? It's just not good.

Thanks for the feedback
I recently posted a Dev log about my plans for a future update, and most of the things you mentioned are actively being worked on
I will definitely look into making the rock interactions more consistent.
I've always loved your jam entries and this one is no different. Concept and ending are hilarious as usual! Kinda weird to control but it feels mostly by design. Really fun gameplay too! I loved it!
This was a cute little game c: and I quite liked the sense of humour in the cutscene & for the ending. Gameplay is a tad rough yeah, but that's to be expected from a jam game. I think it works well for what it is! And the controls being a touch unintuitive is just the game demanding a player learns its quirks, I don't think that's necessarily a flaw.
Fun little experience, and good usage of the travel theme! Also integrates weight gain into gameplay in a clever way.
It's a cute idea, but...
The controls are... not good. The amount she turns when you press left or right is completely unpredictable, except when it's near food, then it's always just enough to miss the food with her too-small hitbox. And making you hit obstacles that make you LOSE points to get food and avoid gaps is... what? Why?
I'd recommend ditching the point loss stuff(hitting obstacles that slow you down and mess up your direction is its own penalty), and I guess do something to make her collision, like, an invisible sphere around her instead of everything directly touching her irregular model shape.
Controls definitely need to be brushed up on, it's mostly due to the trail being sloped in some areas and the code logic not working well at max speed.
The idea with the obstacles was to make the player take a risk, either give up some points to try and gain more, or just take the safe route and get less points.
Also her hitbox actually is an invisible sphere, it's just a bit smaller than her model. So I could add a second larger sphere just for collecting the food.
Very fun idea! The models are adorable. It could use some polish but I understand that the time limit is constricting. Would love to see this expanded upon!
