Fun little avoidance game, good take on the on/off theme! Also really great art, and everything felt very polished, good stuff, thank you for sharing!
And if you haven't had a chance to check out my game Foxy Boom Boxy, I would love your feedback on it, thanks!
It is very polished and very fun. Great job!
I didn't know geese and fuel canisters shared a migration pattern 🤔
Jokes aside, this is very polished! The art is especially pretty.
I think elevation could be better indicated. The sky could slowly change color, for instance.
Great work! Fantastic!
While avoiding the geese is difficult, I still had a great time playing the game.
Ah, I remember I was playing air balloon game on my old phone, and this reminded me about this!
great idea and nice mechanics but it doesn't fit the theme but I love it
I would appreciate to see your feedback on My Game.
Stunning visuals.
you had a great idea with this game ! We realize how frustrating piloting a real hot air balloon can be, as you can only move vertically while managing heat. Good job!
For next update, I suggest that you create another sky than the grey top when we fly too high
The clouds make the text almost impossible to read, I think a darker color for the text would have worked better. However the foundation for the game is solid and this could potentially be a really fun game.
Very good work, I liked it a lot although it is very difficult to avoid crashing, please play my game too
One of the better Flappy Bird-ish games I have played at a game jam. I especially like your graphics
Undoubtedly one of the standout graphics games in the game jam, your chosen style is particularly appealing. However, I did notice that the gameplay tends to lose its allure after a while. To elevate it to a new level, perhaps introducing additional elements could do the trick and transform it into an exceptional game!
Cute little Flappy Bird kind of game. I had fun. Odd though you'd think as a magnet you'd want to attract metal stuff, no?
Edit: Not sure where I got the magnet thing, but it's kinda funny that game ALSO was a flappy bird type game. I actually liked this one for what it was worth, especially the altitude mechanic. Thanks!
Hey thanks! I think you may have commented on the wrong game; there’s no magnets in Avian Avoidance!
Cool game with good graphics? I guess it's pixel art but more like hand drawn. How did you get the style?
Thanks for your feedback! I created the assets in Aseprite, so a mix of hand drawn and pixel art I suppose!
cool
The graphics are adorable and the music is so peaceful!
Made me laugh a bit when you're just calmly moving through the air when all of a sudden a goose hits and KABOOM!
I love it so much!
Really enjoyed this game! Good work.
Hi, this is really clever and unique, nice graphics and the music suits it well too. Very nice.
I noticed some things, after a while there weren't any more geese or clouds, just blue sky and sometimes a fuel can. And at the end my score didn't display. It just had score and then blank space. But it did get saved to the leaderboard though. Playing on Firefox on a laptop.
PS. Have you thought about having the hot air balloon in the thumbnail? I'm sure everyone loves hot air balloons.
Thank you so much for your feedback!
I have extended the level a bit more, and changed the thumbnail :) I thought it was missing something, good eye!
I also haven't been able to replicate the missing text issue, I have tried Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Safari Mobile, all seem to be working as intended. Sorry! :(
Happy Jam!
I played again, lots of geese yay. I pressed your fullscreen button and it was like the camera zoomed right in and I could only see part of the game screen and at the end the Reset button was covering the Final Score label so I couldn't tell if the score was showing or not. This is what it looked like when I pressed the itch fullscreen button. I tried this on two browsers, Firefox and Chromium, both on Linux and got the same results.
Then I played using the browser fullscreen function (F11) and saw this at the end..
