I really like this idea of having to control, and look out for, the two levels. I couldn't get past an early section and couldn't see why it kept being reset, which made me feel I missed out on a lot of content. The start dialogue was funny -it is better to show, not tell, but it quickly set the context.
Good start. Sweet & simple!! Not sure about "juice" or "paying the price". I liked the over-under thing, kept me on my toes.
A very short, simplistic game. The story is just like John Carmack said it should be. I really enjoyed the puzzle elements of the game but felt it was a little lacking in terms of complexity. I believe that this could be a good base for a bigger project if you ever go this route. I'd love to see more verticality in here but i very much enjoyed the platforming and the dialogue made me chuckle.
WOW! This is an absolutely priceless comment. I had to look up John Carmack's stance on stories in video games but I did guffaw after. I couldn't agree more. Thank you.
Opening scene made me chuckle. The idea looks interesting, but for some reason I keep teleporting backwards right after I jump over the pit in the very beginning.
There are brambles hiding right after the rock on the top half, so when you jump the pit on the bottom half you're probably hitting the brambles on the top. It is sneaky that way.
Fun lil rollin time! I did manage to break the game initially by going backwards and combining the sleeping world with the living, so maybe a wall visible or not to the far left of the screen would help :p dialogue is hilarious too, good work!
Amazing heartwarming spectacular brought me to tears. Lol the dialogue actually made me laugh and the shortness of the game was so silly it was enjoyable. The only thing is there should be a little more of a death animation because I thought the game was glitching and didn't realize until later I was dying
Good Job !
I really like the idea of working together through two worlds, makes you be very aware of your actions.
Fun entry!
This is a total gem of a game! I loved it!
Navigating obstacles in both the real and sleeping world at the same time is genius and a great idea for a more fleshed out game. Would love to steal this idea (or at least keep in mind for potential future work). Nice length for a game jam, though I think there is a full game idea based on this concept.
The intro dialogue was some of the best I've seen in a long time. I hope you're okay in RL and have a happy ending like he/she does. "I'm son or daughter" was also great.
Yes, Finn. It goes in my butt.
Good game!
Very Nice Game. I really liked how the idea, incredible. However, I found it a bit too hard for my liking. Nice job though, would appreciate a rating for mine too :)
So relaxing, I really like the calm ambience and the drawing style. The game-play has a good potential.
A small remark, the spiky brambles are almost unoticeable (at least when playing for the first time) and there is no on-death effect (like animation/sound/fx/dialog...) to help understand what is happening.
Thanks for the feedback!
