interesting concept! I am terrible at these kind of games, but I can definitely see where the right strategies will play a big impact in the outcome as far as the design of the ship

Wow, incredible concept and such a deep system! Armored Core / FTL for the Game Boy.

Some of the buttons were kind of weird for keyboard- I'm used to Z/X for B/A.

I love all the different concepts for ships! My favorite mode was having two bots fight off each other (prebuilt ships). If you could add epic space opera music this game would be so cool!

Thanks for the feedback!

In a post-jam version I'll add another gameplay mode besides HUMAN and BOT - it will be called HYBRID.

In that mode a human is responsible for the ship design, but the battle is fought by the bot. That way you can design a ship and let the bot test it in battle.

Also, there will be ability to save and load ship design to and from JSON files, so you can preserve designs or even bring them along to fight with friends :)

Pretty neat concept - well done! I'm really inspired by this program but I think a little introduction, helpbars, or otherwise explanation of the game would be handy. Otherwise, the graphics are great and the idea is awesome too, I don't even know how you pulled it off in time! Well done! :D

Great lil concept, a built in tutorial would've been noice...

Developer

Thanks for the review. A tutorial is in my todo list. Although, I still haven't figured out how to seamlessly integrate that into the gameplay flow.

Interesting game. I would have needed more hints or more feedbacks for my actions. I was not sure about what I was doing sometimes.

Thanks for the feedback!

A manual, a tutorial are hits are something I'm looking to add in a post-jam version.

Nice, it's like a customizable pocket FTL. The game could really use more feedback on the battles, it was kinda hard to figure out what was going on. Good start!

Developer

Thanks for the review!

The game definitely lacks feedback. I had things like part shakes and blinks, weapons shooting/incoming animations in the todo list. But as always, it got cut short by the deadline :).

Great fun game, but needs work in graphics, as although functional, there was no movement in sprites. A scrolling background would go a long way to making you feel like you're in space.

Thanks for the feedback!

Initially I've planned to add a star field, but failed to implement in time. The whole tileset was created just in 2 hours before the deadline :)

Thanks for the feedback! I'm actually Ukrainian, so I don't speak Portuguese :)

The game certainly needs some kind of hints or a tutorial. But I still haven't figured out how to properly implement that.
