Nice of you to make a game for your cat :D Cute game! I only had trouble with the landing lag and some leap of faiths, but the floating jump made up for it.

Cool entry! I like cats, so I must like this. Chubby cats can be very lazy, but not this one. I'll push the keys until he gets skinny, ahah! Well done!

PS: Feel free to try my game out! Cheers!

Thanks haha :D Maybe that could be a feature to play with? Her getting lighter/skinnier the more you jump. But for what cause though...

Ofcourse i will try out your game cheers!

Samus is a such a cool, chubby cat! I wish they had a little less landing lag though, I think it lasts just a little too long. To be clear, the pause isn't the problem, it's the length of the pause.
There's some cool ideas here for sure, but I think you'd be well served by checking your metrics: The first big float jump is barely clearable, and height-wise Samus' starting jump is an ambiguous height that makes it look like you can clear some ledges that are just barely out of reach. It makes it ambiguous what Samus' capabilities are. Shortening that first float jump by a tile, and even raising that wall that looks clearable but isn't, would go a long way to removing some sticking points without changing the challenge.
I had fun playing!

Hey thanks man!

I hear you, i know exactly what you mean. Ive already sorthened the lag, from 16 frames to 8 , and it felt much better :).

Haha gotcha, dig into the design more.

Samus says thanks! :D

Will try out your game too, comments coming later!

Samus is the chubbiest cat I love them already ! There might be a few missing assets and a couple of places where the controls are stiff but I don't think it's buggy at all and it's quite a complete small game, good job ! (That being said I reached the end where the saucer is, but underneath the platform instead, but it still registers the win so I'll take it ~)

Samus is chubby in real life too. :D  One asset is going to utilize her chubbines *erhm*. So more assets are on the way and waiting to be implemented.

The ending! GAH! I recognized that myself the day after, what a drag! It is fixed now though. But you got to hear the ending creds so im glad for that at least!

THANKS! Your Game Iron Ferret was a real treat, very interesting concept. You should finish that one!

I liked being able to make my jumps higher, it's a fun little versatile mechanic. Also, Samus's animations are adorable!

Developer(+1)

Heyah! You mean that you liked the "variable" jump ? if that is what you mean then im glad that it "felt" good :) I was a little worried about that one. :D

Samus says thanks with a purr!

Developer (1 edit)

The game is  buggy due to the lack of time looking through all bugs :D A more polished version will be replaced with the current one after the contest is over.
