Congratulations, this is the best game that I played in this jam. You, for sure managed your time well, made a really good number of levels, enemies, and threats.

The game is complete, but maybe in a post-jam version you could add some stuff:

* A score system based on the number of enemies that you kill and how long it takes to beat the level;

*Some songs;

*Powerups, like a "machine gun" and a temporary shield

Congratulations again, you did well!

Thanks a ton! I was thinking about adding some sort of score/points system, and the powerups are a great idea.

Do it man, good luck!

Great little game. Really fun for its simplicity. Good job with the sprites.

Controls well, looks great! The UI is a little hard to read unfortunately, but some of that is just it being 4 colors.

The music didn't really feel fitting to me. It might have worked better if it were more like a Game Boy chiptune? I'm not sure, but the vibe I got was more like the SNES game B.O.B. than a GB space shooter I think.

The mutant and asteroid sprites are great though. They're not too big for the screen but they're still nice and big and they look like what they're supposed to be, which is always impressive on a small palette and a small screen size. Great job!

Pretty fun game!

Love the chunky feel of everything! The graphics and sound are awesome.  The asteroid destroy sound in particular is very nice.  I thought the gameplay was solid, nice job!

Awesome game! I liked the ammo mechanic, and it felt like ammo drops were placed nicely so I was never struggling. I also liked how the music changed when I got to the boss fight, that was a nice touch! Really well done!

For sure a very polished game. Would love to see the grid movement and the turn angle of the ship, that would be the og GameBoy mechanics and will enhance the GB soul.

I agree!

This definitely stood out among space shooter both for the graphics and the ammo system added a lot

Great graphics! really like the vibe of the game :)

Fun shooter! I loved the enemy designs! Also the ship turning mechanic (and having the map automatically rotate it for different sections) was very neat.

I loved it. My only criticism is that it felt like your ship should keep moving. Maybe that was an expectation because of the shape of the ship.
The art is amazing!
