Thanks for declaring that the use of gen AI. I had to play multiple times to understand the gameplay (the text is hard to see among other things). I understand the base of the gameplay but I think more will be needed to make it engaging. I wish you a better luck next time.
It is very difficult to focus on building a website and then working on the game. The game has a solid concept, but it needed some challenges and a little bit of graphics to increase its appeal. A little bit of generative AI could help a lot.
Good job on doing the site and the game :)
Interesting concept!
Good concept to build on. I hope you keep working on it. Some of the moons do make it hard to see the text though
fun idea, you should add some more to it!
It's very clear there was more planned for this game, as the game loop is functional but not very exciting.
Every moon sells 1 commodity and buys another, it's not possible to even make mistakes since you cannot sell to the wrong moon. So no matter what you do, you will never lose money, only gain. A capitalist's dream come true !
As for feedback, I would suggest lowering the alpha on the backgrounds as Ganymede is the only one that is really legible.
I sold my stuff until I reached 500 and called it a day. Didn't encounter any bugs, so as small as it is, at least it's working correctly !
Wow, thanks for playing so much! Yes there was a lot more I had planned with aliens and gossip and drama, but I had a hard time with some underlying systems on my site that I made the game with. Thanks again for playing, I like pico-8 a lot as a platform and will likely keep using it for gamejams. So next year there will be a bigger and better game for sure
