Had way more fun than I expected to! For a little feedback, one thing that stuck out to me was the sound getting louder, at points it was very quiet and at others nearly deafening , probably need to clamp how high the volume goes :)
Wow this turned out to be a lot of fun! I think that one thing that I would like to see added is some kind of textured background just because when I was moving around it felt the enemies were floating in random directions. Also I was a little worried when I saw the main screen UI - but when the gameplay started those concerns quickly evaporated. I love the way the game looks, sounds and feels. I love the screen shake, the sounds of the explosions, and the post processing you've used. it sounds like I'm in an arcade again and I just want to pop in some more coins so I can keep playing. I know the things you can do in a game jam are limited but this has the perfect kind of format for a roguelite with powerups, waves, more enemies etc. It's a great game with a lot of potential and when I see these I always like to advise creators of platforms like crazygames where you can submitted polished web games for people to play and earn some revenue potentially as well. Good job.
Good fun. I love the sound effects when destroy an enemy, especially when a cascade of powerups destroy a whole bunch of them at the same time!
I got a bit overconfident and thought I could say still, simply shooting enemies as they came at me, but was quickly overwhelmed
Though I did feel if I'd kept moving I could have stayed alive indefinitely. The powerups were very generous and fed into one another, especially with the magnet.
Ahhhhhhhh, I love a good twin stick shooter and this is definitely a good one!
Got some big Smash TV vibes with the careful moving towards the upgrades before you get mobbed! Also carefully timing of picking up the smart bombs. Unlike Smash TV you don't get one-shotted though, which was nice! I'd say this is the most fun game I've played in the jam so far.
My only comment would be like in my game you get gameover'd a bit abruptly - I was up to 6 or 7 minutes I think! 725 points on the hiscore.
What a pleasant surprise! I wasn’t expecting much since the game doesn’t have a cover image, but I was pleasantly surprised to find this game. It’s really fun, the special effects look beautiful, and the controls feel really solid.
My suggestion would be to change the background to something with texture, so it’s easier to tell that you’re moving. Also, adding more enemy types would make the game more interesting. Finally, a death screen showing your high score and how long you survived would be a great addition.
Yes sorry about that I was multi-tasking on another jam and kind of just rushed this one. Thanks for playing.
Not sure why this doesn't have more reviews, I had a lot of fun with it. Cool power ups, lots of dynamic movement. I do like the glow effect on the map.
Some things do pop off the screen but has not been an issue for the game at all!
