Cool theme implementation. Really nice visuals and audio. Gameplay wise I was constantly forgetting which buttons are controilling which clock hand, but generally this entry is pretty well put together. I liked it :)

Fun, good looking and well-polished game! I definitely had fun. I think it would be great for teaching kids how to tell time :)

When I saw your progress updates in discord, I was unsure if this is really fun. However, I have played it now and I can honestly say: I really liked your game! Very cool idea and I had lots of fun playing it!

Some minor things to improve:

  • The hour keys (left and right arrow) are not so intuitive. Maybe using another two keys above each other would be easier. So for example W/S for one minutes and O/L for hours, so that you can play with two hands. Maybe it was intended by you that you need to adapt a bit to it. Additionally you had the keys on the screen which could be used. So it is not that bad.
  • The kids today want to play on their phone :)! Your screen format and the buttons look already as it was made for a phone. Would be cool if it would work, but at least on my phone the game did not scale properly.

Anyway, congratulations to this cool entry!

Forgot to write this: Really cool music which fitted the theme perfectly!

I am just reading all of the comments, thank you very much! I was in charge of the music and the sound design, really proud of how it turned out!

Yea, the mobile sizing was buggy and I didn't have enough time left to fix it. So had to submit it as desktop only.

I like the typing teacher type of feel. Like this would be a good teaching game, especially with settings like turning on and off the 24-hour clock. Maybe make it so that you have to submit a time to fire it off? It does feel like if you just get one hand in place, you could just spam the other hand without thinking about where it should go, but maybe if it got more hectic, that would be ok. Overall really nice concept and game.

Developer

Yea, I had planned to have "boss" waves etc... I just ran out of time.

Great game! The 24-hour times definitely tripped me up, as I’m not used to reading that. I really liked the music and sound design and how it all incorporated the sounds of clocks! Nice job!!

Also, despite the disclaimers, I think your code looks great!

Developer(+1)

haha, yea the code. I had to switch from Kaboom to Phaser half way through. So it led to me just cramming all the scenes in one big file.

Submitted(+1)

Ahhhh I was wondering about that, cause I saw Kaboom and Phaser both in the package.json haha. That’s an extra level of impressive though, switching engines halfway through, especially when they have different paradigms!

Emmmmmm...time's up! Good game!

Neat game, I'm terrible at telling the time. Great sounds!

Really nice game! It's where we realize that we're not too comfortable with reading analog watches anymore. Good job!
