Honestly I don't get it... I just put servers in all cells while in fast mode, then I have nothing to do and earn a lot of money. On day 57 users are frustrated and game over. :/
Looks great! I'd really need some more instructions to play, but it has potential. Love easy-going strategies like this. Good job!
I like the minimalistic low poly design and your choice of palette. This is a very creative take on the theme that I haven't seen yet and don't think I'll be seeing again.
Once I understood the best moment to place a server, I didn't really have any more choices to make in the game. Offering varying kinds of serveers/upgrades, recognizing grid patterns and adjacency, replacing old units whose efficiency weakens, or adapting to differences at certain times of day, there's many ways you could develop this foundation to add more options for the player to explore over time.
Nice work nonetheless. Would be interested to play again if you develop it further.
The idea is very original, and I think for some users it could even be educational!
In any case I felt the lack of a bit of challenge, perhaps I would put other possibilities into the game, such as the need to remove servers to follow certain requirements or the possibility of improving server consumption.
I understand it was difficult to do all this in one jam time, so great job!!
The game looked interesting but I did not get the challenge part. I just put servers and space was limited.
I know the theory of servers though so I tested out it. It seems to work so I guess game goal is just High Score.
Hi! I love the theme interpretation of infrastructure scaling in a cloud (yes I saw your little clouds floating in the background). The game’s look was clean and minimalistic with a good color selection. There could be more sound effects, though (at the beginning I thought my audio was muted :D).
Unfortunately, the game lacks some interesting mechanics. The current strategy seems to be filling the board as soon as possible and waiting until the game ends.
Thank you for trying the game and leaving feedback.
Unfortunately, I had to cut a lot of features, but I'll keep developing the game in the future.
Are your download files right? I can't play the game it says it needs pck files. Reply this if you fix it so i will play and rate your game
What's your operating system?
Windows, Usually godot games look like this in folder
"Scale Tale.pck"
"Scale Tale.exe"
Thank you for pointing this out. Apparently I made a mistake when uploading the Windows build. Trying to figure out if I can fix it somehow.
I pushed a new Windows build. I'd appreciate it if you could give it another try
Love the minimal aesthetic. Wish the game scaled up in difficulty beyond filling the board (or did I miss some way to get a bigger board?)
This game made me want to eat waffles with blueberries.
Thank you for giving the game a try. The current version doesn't implement upgrades or increasing the board size, unfortunately. It's definitely something I want to implement in the future.
Nice start for your idle/upgrade game. The aesthetic is very cozy. The tweens are satisfying. Too bad you didn't have more time to implement more challenging gameplay.
Thank you for playing and for the nice feedback.
I plan to update the game in the future.
