One thing I am still wondering about: Did the mayor's ghost kill the caretaker so that he/she would also become a ghost and could help the others?

I’ll admit, that’s not what I was thinking… but I can see how you might think that! I was thinking they invited the caretaker to help the townspeople because they were a ghost ALREADY. 😅😆🥲😭

The End is kinda sad

A good use of GB Studio, with your own graphics, bravo! On the other hand, the game is a bit too talkative for me, who also doesn't know English very well :/
But I recognize the work done, and it runs perfectly on my GB DMG so once again congratulations ;)

I admit, like I mentioned, I didn't make all of my own graphics; all of the interiors are mine, and some of the exteriors, but the trees and fences and sprites are sadly not mine. I've given fully credit on the game page to make sure everyone is given the appropriate thanks.
