Interesting use of the mouse wheel, and I always like an inventive health display!

Pretty cool and like the concept! Also nice that it's easily playable in the browser as well!

If it had a bit of feedback, would be very satisfying to play. Got a score of 276, so pretty good I guess.

i got absolutely fucked up which is always want i want from an arcadey game. pretty well executed overall. some sound would definitely help up the polish a little.

thanks. i wish i would have managed my time a bit better but i left myself no time for sound. definitely will try to manage better in the future. thanks again for checking it out and for the feedback!

Great game! Pretty well polished and fun. I found it quite confusing juggling between attacking and defending, but I guess that's part of the learning curve. Good job!

Developer

Thank you for the feedback!

This game was fun and challenging. The scrolling felt a bit slow, at least when playing the html build, but I don't recall having as much of a problem when I downloaded the linux build. To be honest, that's the only crit I can think of right now, you feel like you did a solid job here.

Thank you for the feedback. It definitely needs more balancing. the issue i was having with speed is i was trying to replicate paddle controls from the Atari, but the mouse wheel sensitivity isn't a good substitute. if i turned the movement up it was jumping too far. i would like to completely redo the movement to use acceleration to increment how fast you move for how long you are scrolling. Thanks again!

A pretty good arcade game! I guess working on the enemies to spawn properly was a pain in the butt, which is pretty ambitious itself to be honest. Pro tip: SCROLL YOUR MOUSE WHEEL AS HARD AS YOU CAN and hold the space key :)

Developer

Thanks for Playing! And yes i spent way too long on trying to get enemies to spawn!

I appreciate the locked rotation scroll wheel thing thats going on from a retro perspective, but if I had a choice, I would pick a "look at my mouse" kind of control scheme. I feel like my shield could be closer too, by the time bullets get close enough for me to realize, its already too late.

Developer

Thank you for the feedback. I agree it definitely can be improved. I was going for a paddle control scheme, but unfortunately the mouse wheel isn't as intuitive as a paddle. I will probably implement some quality of life changes after the jam. Thanks again!

I can cheese it by scrolling as fast as possible and holding space.
