Really like the juicy effects that you added, like the screen shake and the recoil to the player's weapon. I also like the planning phase, when you get to place traps and structures before the enemy attacks you. Also, the music and the graphics fit the game quite nice :) Great job!
Really fun to play! The sprites are really nice, and the background could look equally as polished with some more time I suspect :) The difficulty curve was fun but still challenging. I think that it's not particularly clear what the goal is. I figured out that the keys opened the blue doors but only by accident :P (then again I am pretty dumb so might not be an issue).
Overall really polished for a jam title, excited to see what comes next :)
Hey Thanks :) Yea, I should have used the extra week to try to make a tile set and design levels :( . I'm not really an artist :P, I compiled Aseprite from source and spent a long time redoing art until it looked good. I think with a door sprite with a big flashing key hole the door will make more sense :)
I'm thinking about carrying on working on the game and changing a few things :) + Finish Sprites + Change controls to mouse + keyboard / duel stick shooter + Have multiple levels with a 5 star rating Though I might try some other Game Engines first :) Had fun in my first Game Jam :D
Thanks :) . Orcs Must Die was one of the inspirations for this game :D
Yea I think you're right. Each room should be about a screen size or a little bit more. The AI is smart enough to navigate mazes to get to the player/factories, but the level design and that the player can't place barricades doesn't really show them off.
I think I'll work on the project a bit after the jam with 3 main changes. 1. More levels with better level design 2. Duel stick / mouse keyboard controls instead of Gauntlets control scheme 3. Better performance.
I played only a few minutes, but the playability, graphics, sound design, difficulty... I found everything to be pretty dawn good with this game. Nicely done!

as artsy mentioned, this is really polished and a ton of fun to play! this is a great entry and a fun take on the gauntlet theme.

Amazing stuff! would love to have mouse support :)
Wow! Awesome!
Impressive!!
I love this genre of tower defense with a player character (ie: Orcs Must Die, Sanctum).
This is a surprisingly ambitious entry for a game jam. The fact that it works is impressive, and even more that it’s quite fun!
As a suggestion, I would like to have much larger maps that provide more room to maneuver and tactical opportunities.
