Fairly blue.

Solid dungeon crawler.

Though I admit that the second I got the map, I left it up the whole time and used primarily it to navigate the whole thing.

Which means I wasn't using the 3d perspective, but the 2d map.

Changes the approach to the game.

Developer

Ah yea, that's totally fair about the map. We had decided that in case anyone wanted to play it but really struggled without the map, they could just leave it up as a sort of accessibility feature. Thanks so much for playing! 8]

I liked aestetic of dungeon itself, map.. movement and combat though need a bit of work. Both a too slow, painfully so sometimes. And those bandit with knifes... there are many of them and they avoid almost all attacks, including throwing knifes. Using web helps, but it feels like it 'stuns' them for one turn and when there are two of them - you get hit way too much from second one. Fighting them is more frustration than difficulty, since its quickly turns into a luck vs endurance kind of game.

Speaking of knifes - it may be some resolution issue, but using them was really difficult to me. There is like few pixels that you can click to trigger attack with them and they are not always at the same place (?) its just guessing game of 'where should i click around the knifes to trigger them this time'. Other items seemed fine with where i had to click them, so I have no idea what is up with those knifes :(

Very nice and relaxing dungeon crawler.  "The bandit dances around your blade ... idk Stuff" was brilliant! Perfection.

Thank you very much for playing, it's so nice to hear you enjoyed it! <3

Color palette nice , music is nice and makes it feel like a casual game but it has combat. Map a bit granual with  unclear lines. Distances are to large or movement to slow and not that fluent, tiles are to small. Combat was to hard, to easy to die and it took a bit long time to complete.  Anyway its an ok entry to the jam! Keep at it!

"Bandit stabs twice idk" best attack line!

Great aesthetic, movement could be a bit faster, combat was okay, although quite a bit punishing at times, if the enemy dodges a lot. The map was very helpful for navigating and seeing what is where. Overall quite enjoyable with small quirks.

Developer

Thanks for playing! I appreciate the detailed feedback as well 8]

Hey! I just finished your entry and I had a pretty good time with it! I love (most*) of the visuals, the simple color palette works well. The only place where it was a bit jarring was the bright orange background for one of the fights. I would pick something similarly muted to the rest of the colors. The enemy highlight and sometimes their placement also appears to be a bit glitchy, and I couldn't often tell what the buffs/debuffs were doing based on their design alone.

The movement and turning feels a bit slow, if you sped those up it would dramatically improve the pacing as well

Developer

I'll definitely note that for some future updates 8] Thanks so much for giving this a try! 8D

How are the throwing knives supposed to work? I think I got quite far and had a massive battle, which took out most of my resources and then died in the next battle after it. The graphic are quite smooth, but the color scheme ist a bit to garish for me. Did you want so simulate darkness with it? But anyway, solid entry!

Developer

Ah, sorry for the confusion! They are an item, so you would select it from the item menu and once you have it picked, you can return to attack and choose the enemy you want to throw it at 8]

Thanks for giving it a try!

Lovely! Love the animated backgrounds on each encounter, the sprite and the sound effect. Something about how tall the walls and wide the walls are reminds me of the RPGM 3D plugin. Really strong entry.

Thank you so much! 8D

"Congratulation"

I think the game is a bit slow, especially movement, but it's fun anyway, the consumables and enemies are fun enough to use and deal with and I enjoyed the little moment of confusion at the end when the map won't help you anymore.

Developer

Fair critique, I think if there was more time I would have done a bit more for movement, but perhaps something for the future. 8] Thanks so much for playing and for the feedback!
