A shame you couldn't get the gameplay done in time, because the art is really high quality! which to be honest was probably your downfall, too much time on the art/making it look nice not enough on gameplay but, it's a common pitfall for a game jam.

I will say, for what little combat I got to do was a fun idea of having many different abilities of each party member you can all use on cooldown, on use items and everything like that, but after  a couple encounters the enemies sort of just stopped attacking/being able to be hit.

Also I noticed the use of unreal 5 as the virtual shadow map flickering was straining my eyes. you might want to look into how to disable that for now. What I did for my unreal game was to set shadow maps back to regular shadow maps in the settings and force dynamic lighting as well. Keeps the quality shadows you want but prevents a lot of the issues unreal engine has at the moment.

Also since it is unreal engine 5 this game is quite rough on the optimization, once I loaded into the main area my graphics card was hitting 95% usage and that was even after I changed the FPS cap to 60 in the nvidia control panel, when it defaults to my 144hz monitor refresh rate.

Thanks for letting me know about that optimization problem. I will make that a priority for the update that goes out once the voting period is over.

Yeah, many glitches and bug in this one, but I did make it out anyway. Maybe to ambitious in the graphics part and inventory system while missing in the basic combat and physics and movement parts. Could become something though. The combat system is a valid one and works. Develop this further!

This is great! Like the others said, there's quite a few bugs right now, the most important being that generation sometimes doesn't allow you to pass through places where you should be able to pass. But I found the skull nonetheless. Loved the graphics, the simplicity of the UI, the combat works as expected and very old school. This is something that might be worth the time to expand upon.

Wow, there is so much here. The graphics are really well done, especially the models and the attack animations and spells. You got an inventory, stat screen, level up points, intro dialogs. All very cool, but is so buggy right now. I encountered so many show stoppers, where I could not progress because of invisible colliders. It really is a shame, as you got a beautiful game on your hands and one of the few Unreal entries, which use the engine for something else than wasting space.

I found the skull :D

I definitely encountered quite a few bugs with the chests and enemy and prop placement, but I was still able to finish it and honestly I think the style you've put together here is really cool. The chill exploration background track and pixelated visuals in front of this expansive skybox with the towers in the background. I really think you nailed a very cool aesthetic and I didn't have a problem being engaged enough to persist through the bugs and find the ending.

I really enjoyed the triple throw attack, that felt really juicy and fun to use.

Not without issues, but really nice work!

I took the skull and escaped the night. Obviously I always only increased intelligence on everyone.

Not everything worked as intended yet I thought the game was actually fun anyway, the game looks good, movement feels good and so does combat.

Thanks for sharing.

Hey,

the aesthetics are quite nice really dig the style and music choice, but the game is unfortunately rather buggy and the combat is also to clunky for me. But I got the skull, so it hold me on the line till the end. :)

Very nice art and there is an impressive amount of system here, from the dialogues to the Inventory and enemy walking around. Love that the gameplay is not slow. Bummer about some bugs.

The art, music, and level design choices you made here were great! With more time to clean everything up I see a lot of potential in this one!

This game is very cute. The art looks good and the music is very upbeat and fun to have in the background. It seems like you have a lot more planned than is currently shown. It's kind of a bummer to have all the chests empty. Don't really see a cosmic enemy anywhere.
