  • By far the most creative take on the theme I've seen so far! Out of the box! Took a heck of a lot of thinking even in the early stages, which is good! Good pacing with integrating new mechanics and lots of fun.
  • The concept of the game is really interesting. Using the email windows as platforms is an interesting way to mix platforming and puzzles, however you are able to move position locked windows by resizing them.
  • I loved everything about this submission! The puzzle platforming was super clever design, and I loved that there was a story going on in the background as well.
  • One of the best games I played. Such a unique new innovation & style using emails as a platformer. I love the visual style and responsiveness/smoothness of the player. Great job!

How does the game fit into the theme?
Forwarded By is a unique puzzle platformer with a story that is built around the theme. Taking an atypical approach to "Keep Moving Forward," the player manipulates the environment to move through platforms of emails, only proceeding once they reach the forward button. In addition to the journey of moving forward, you are traveling through the lost digital memories of a laptop left by a stranger on a train.

What premade assets did you use if any?

Honestly the best game I have played so far (apart from mine of course)! The idea, the art style, the theme 10/10. So creative and the entire game had me rattling my brain and trying to think outside the box while also not being super super difficult. Well done on this, should be proud

That's great idea! Its really impressive that you made a well polished game in this little time. Nothing to add, good work!

i really like the resizing/moving mechanic, very interesting! the emails are funny too

Super unique approach and I wasn't expecting to play for as long as I did! The resizing and position lock were both great mechanics with the player movement, and I actually stopped to read the message lines along the way (funny stuff XD) great work.

Original and unique gameplay! - havn't seen something like this before! Great work!

This game is soo cool and original. I love the mechanic and the idea. I think with more variation on the gameplay you could make a very interesting game!!

Interesting take on the theme! I was very, very confused in the first level and then I realized you could jump through windows and land on text!!1!1!! That feeling of realization was really nice, it made the entire game feel just like you're exploring through some uncharted land or something. The gameplay was overall very nice, but it did get a little bit repetitive after the first 10 or so levels.

Very cool idea an mechanics! I just wish I could have swung the little cube around with one of the windows, felt like a missed opportunity a little.

Progression is good, but somehow chapter 2 becomes a little more annoying, the difficulty curve could definitely be reworked, but it's an amazing job for the time you had!

Good job!

This was so clever! My only complaint is that the music got really repetitive. The loop is just too short. Nice work though!

What a strange concept! Had some real fun with this.

Some of the rules felt arbitrary. You have icons showing which windows can’t be moved or resized, cool, but what about the ones that disappear after a time? I still don’t get why that happens.

Nice twist on the theme ! I am very impressed by the amount of levels you were able to create with so many different mechanics, this is amazing. A very good entry !

Very interesting idea! I feel like the project has a lot of potential, although it already has a lot of levels, I would so love to see more!

I'm such a sucker for a good puzzle platformer and a good pun so this scratches an itch for me, music got a bit repetitive as I was going through it, but the game-play was fun and kept me entertained the whole time I was playing even if it was a bit rough around the edges at times.
