Cool game! The graphics and combat system are nicely done. Movement was slightly too fast and the music got a bit annoying over time.
Overall good job!

Hey there, I wanted to give you my honest review about the game you made. Please do not take anything personally but use those feedbacks to improve your next games!

First: it crashed twice, using WebGL. Playtest, see if everything is going as expected before publishing. It is very important.

Then about the game:

  • Character's movement is too fast.
  • Music looping is bad, we can hear the cut. Also, music is very stressful to me.
  • Sounds are present but I would like to get various effects when doing things or getting damaged.
  • Pixel art is not bad at all. However your UI is sometimes overlapping when playing with the WebGL player, same: do some testing!
  • Fighting mechanics are very simple. It works, it could be better but anyway, it works.

I personally didn't enjoy it much mostly because of the crashes and the music, but it's an okay start if it's your first game, keep going.

Good luck!

Thanks! I know it is unpolished. After this  jam i will make a version 2 of the game

Nice game - like the pixel art and sword mechanics, though the movement is a bit fast. well done!

Developer

Thanks!

it is good but what i would change is the movement maybe just make it a little slower and the music is kinda boring (no offense).

The game idea is simple and fun. The graphics and the story is pretty good. I Especially liked the ending, it is really funny. The music is okay, but it gets a bit annoying. The movement controls is overall okay. The fighting system is also okay, but I found it better just to avoid the enemies.  Overall a good jam game. AND YOU ARE ALL BREATHTAKING!

A top down sword game??? Was that even possible? I somehow managed to complete the first level... and had fun doing it. But how does it relate to the theme of the jam?

Developer

The "spirit" you were talking was a dude behind a desk. He lied to you, making you to think that he was the spirit of the game

Okay... XD. I meant how it the core mechanics related to the jam. But whatever, you could create fun dungeons with this game. I see potential here.

Way too much pixelised. Good game overall. I like the sword hit mechanics.

what do you mean by "Way too much pixelised"? It's a pixelart game. It's supposed to look like this
