I've reached the second fight against the (first?) boss once so far.
The game is very fun. There are plenty of cool bullet patterns to deal with (these bullets from the second phase of the first fight against the boss are super cool), the difficulty feels right (or at least up to where I managed to get ;) ), and the theme mechanics is very unique and interesting to deal with, there are parts I am familiar with now where I'm not sure where I like to place the light the best, which is cool.
Very cool entry, thanks for sharing.
Both loved and hated the light mechanic! I thought it was really cool, but I wasn't very good at all at balancing staying in the light with hunting down the foes.
Really love the light mechanic, dodging in and out to balance visibility and positioning. I think the transition between light and dark could be a bit more gradual but really neat mechanic.
fun and intense i loved it, really cool use of the limited theme with the light !! very nice
A well-executed, classic shmup with great art and cool vibes. I thought the light mechanic was cool, although it might benefit from a bit of tutorialization/on-ramping (make the circle bigger at first so the player can get used to it?)
Would love to try this on a gamepad, as the player moves quite fast and it would be easier to move precisely with a joystick.
things I liked
things I would do different
Really nice enemy and bullet patterns in this classic, arcade-style shooter! The light mechanic was a bit frustrating to use, but it definitely added a unique concept to the play. I would recommend adding more visual and audio feedback to when bullets are hitting enemies.
interesting concept with the light, I found the moving it a little confusing but overall fun game
The game feel is really cool and the arcade style works great , nice juicy game
