How does your game fit the theme?
When the player dies, the player comes back stronger, whether it is to do more damage, or to take less damage from enemies.
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
All the code is from scratch, the assets have been taken from various copyright-free sources

10/10 would get stuck again xD. Beatyfull art.
Nice game, fun to play. A little to repetitive. But the concept is good. Can have more improvement. Good job.
Thanks for the feedback. The game I created was more of a proof of concept rather than a fully-fledged game. Think there are many small improvements I would make to everything that is included in the game, but simply ran out of time.
Nice little game! It is possible to reach the end by simply rushing and never killing anyone, but that is some fine-tuning we cannot expect during a 7-days jam ^^.
The gameplay loop is interesting, even if the combat feels a little bit stiff, and I love the little sounds, especially the voice acting on the knight xD. Did you do it yourself ^^? Also why is a music a lullaby xD?
Overall, that a nice little concept, congratulations =)
Thanks for the feedback. Yeah, think it is a case of adjusting the jump and the hitboxes for the attack of the enemies and the players hitbox so you can't simply jump through the entire level. Wanted to add a block into the kit of the player, but simply didn't have an animation available to communicate to the player that is happening. The voice acting wasn't done by me unfortunately, it was a free-to-use pack I found whilst scrolling through the assets on itch. Also by the lullaby, assume you're talking about the menu music? Just wanted to add something that in my eyes seemed relatable to the game that I was making, but apparently that was not the case xD.
Your game is really fun to play, and I enjoy playing the game! First, I didn't know which key to press to attack, it would be great to have some hint on the screen. Overall, great work!
Thanks for the feedback. Was one of the things I wanted to add into the game, but unfortunately did not have the time to implement them.
Graphics and animation are great but i think you might had set up animations a bit wrong, sounds were okay. Combat could use some rework imo
Thanks for the feedback. Think the way I coded some of the animations into my scripts may have confused the animator, so I can only apologise. In terms of the combat, due to limitations on what animations I had on offer to me, I wanted to add a block but it didn't feel right when I didn't have a block animation, so combat can see a bit lacklustre at times.
Nice Game! Lovely graphics. Even if dying is part of the gameplay it would be awesome if I had the oppurtunity to block some attacks or to regain some energy sometimes. Nevertheless it's a lot of fun.
Thanks for the feedback. Due to the character that I used for this project, there was no animations for blocking, so I decided to not include it in the game. If I was going to do something like this again, I would definitely consider adding some form of blocking mechanic to the game, but I'm glad you enjoyed the game nevertheless.
the animation and graphics are well handeld.
Thanks for the feedback, really appreciate it
Looks good but it needs some improvement in the area of feel when attacking like a little of camera shake and whatnot. Theme intrepretation is great but it needs more balancing iteration to it which I kind of understand because we don't have enough time to do that.
If you have time, please review my game as well, that would be awesome.
Thanks for the feedback. Due to time constraints, I didn't have time to add some more minor details to the game i.e. camera shake, particle effects. I understand that at some point, the player can become invincible, but I wanted to make sure the proof of concept was there before adjusting the numbers, which unfortunately I ran out of time to do. I'll be sure to check out your game, and give it a rating
This game looks great and is a good interpretation of the theme. The controls were a little too floaty for my take and I ran into an issue with the falling platforms section. They just kept falling up and down and I couldn't get them to stay long enough to make the jumps due to the slow floaty jump. Overall great job in the amount of time you had.
Thanks for the feedback. Was a common issue that the jump was a bit too floaty, just a case of messing around with some of the values to make it less so. The falling platform section had issues caused by the collisions between the player object and the falling platforms themselves, needed to adjust the player collision to fit more with the sprite, think it was slightly too large.
Lovely art style. The death sound effect made me chuckle lol
Thanks for the feedback, glad you got a laugh out of this game.
AWESOME pixel art!!!
Check out my game too! :)
Thanks for the feedback, I'll be sure to check out your game also!
Very nice game :). I love the pixel art, and i like the movement, but the attack was kinda wierd, so i ended up just jumping over the enemies. Check out my game too!
Thanks for the feedback, I'll be sure to check out your game. Could you elaborate on what about the attack you found weird, just so I can improve it in the future if something of this nature comes around again?
The best part of this experience was the pixel art. Very nice work there. The controls were serviceable, and the upgrade mechanic was well executed. Nice!.
Thank you for the feedback, really appreciate it. Glad you liked the experience I made, even though in parts it can be a bit janky in parts, but that's part of the charm xD
Worked fine for me! The jump is very floaty, it feels like you're playing as an astronaut more than a swordsman.
Thanks for you feedback. Think it was a case of adjusting some values in the jump script to make the jump less floaty, but unfortunately ran out of time, bit of a common theme through the comments xD
The idea is great, unfortunately I was able to complete the level without ever fighting or losing health, the player can just jump over enemies at will
Thanks for your feedback. Unfortunately didn't have a huge amount of time to work on this project, so some of the stuff I wanted to work on works on a surface level, but didn't have the time to adjust values and go in depth with the enemy to make the experience better. Wanted to add some other enemy types so the player was not able to just run through the whole level without fighting, think it was a case of the jump being the major issue of this game
WebGL worked for me. I would work on the jumping physics, but the level design was well done.
Thanks for the feedback. Think it is just a case of adjusting a few of the numbers to make the jump less floaty, but I appreciate you pointing it out
The WebGL build sadly doesn't load for me :(
Thanks for letting me know, I'll upload an exe for the project
