Nice little game with a relaxing soundtrack and a very appealing visual style - I definetly got some Speedrunners vibes! The idea with having to complete the track backwards once reaching the end fits the theme very well and makes for some interesting gameplay - the only thing I have wished for was a checkpoint at the end so you don't have to start over the whole track once you failed your run. Very solid entry - congratulations!

Really impressive work for just one week time! Always hard to come up with some challenging puzzles that are neither too hard nor too easy - but you managed it pretty well! I like the gradual introduction of new game mechanics and the sense for little details - like making the volume of the landing sfx dependent on the falling height. While playing I thought about three improvements I would consider:
1) It should be visually more obvious which of the two characters you are currently controlling. Right now the only difference is their different color which is sometimes hard to notice.
2) One character has the special ability to switch gravity - why not add a special ability to the other character as well? Or did I miss something?
3) Instead of switching between characters automatically I would make the player choose for himself, which character he/she wants to control. Right now it seems like I always have to play with the red character again, once I failed with the green one - sometimes I wished for just having another try with the green one instead.
Congratulations for handing in such a polished submission! I really hope you're going to develop this entry to a fully fledged game because it has every potential! :)
Interesting idea and really a lot of story writing for one week! I really like the bell mechanic a lot but would consider to dump the necessity to click on the report afterwards - just go straight to the introduction of the next applicant instead. In terms of game design I would emphasize the impact of my decisions more clearly - right now it remains a bit unclear if the decision I've made were good or bad. Nevertheless a very enjoyable entry in my opinion - congratulations!
Neat little game, which actually makes really fun to play - a big achievement for a game jam submission! I like the variety of defenders and attackers and the upgrades you can choose from, when you failed a round - very good idea to keep players engaged! The only things I have wished for were a possibility to replace existing defenders with better ones and something you could do between rounds before starting a new day - buying an upgrade or something like this. Apart from that a very solid entry which I enjoyed very much!
The jam's theme is executed in a very unique approach in your game! It's really hard to come up with some good puzzles that are neither too hard nor to easy - but you've managed it pretty solid! Good progresion curve as well with slowly introducing all the different puzzle mechanics. I would get rid of the respawn button as well and somehow in my browser (firefox) the game window is smaller than the space itch.io provides for it - therefore some crucial game elements at the border of the screen where partially not visible. But that's just a technical issue - very good entry!
Due to this game I am now a master dish washer and bill payer! :D It's very challenging to make a story driven game for a game jam but you did a pretty good job! Movement speed and mouse sensitivity was a bit too fast for my liking but it may depend on your input device. Congratulations, very well done!
Good take on the theme! I really enjoyed floating arround and looking at the level building itself. Navigation through the level can be a bit tricky though and sometimes the view is fully blocked, regardless how you rotate the camera - I would consider rendering the spore with a different visual style when behind an object, like a lot of strategy games do. Really nice entry nevertheless!
Welcome to the fish game family! :D
I really like your individual take on the theme and of course the settings menu! :P I would consider providing some more visual feedback, to distinguish between "you got killed" and "you switched bodies" more clearly. Congratulations on executing your idea and finishing a game in just one week time!
I already enjoyed your last entry for the brackeys game jam - but for this one, you even took it at least a bunch of steps further! The art style and the atmosphere is not less than amazing: I really liked the overall mood and the cut scenes look really professional. The only flaw for me was the control scheme which felt a bit unintuitive - but apart from that: Very well done!

Game Idea
Our idea was to play with the contrast of reality and imagination through they eyes of child. We were thinking of a young boy that is brought to bed but does not want to sleep. So he sneaks out of his bedroom, takes up his little flashlight and goes for a nightly walk through the house to find some delicious cookies. But as you are approaching the dark living room that once looked so familiar during daytime wild creatures arise and start to creep up on you - but what is reality and what is just arising from your lively imagination?
Concept Art
The parent's house that looked so innocent and harmles by the light of your fleshlight will transform into lurking creatures as soon as your are turning your back on them. So while being on a desperate hunt for cookies be sure to keep an eye on the on the living room furnishing!
Everything that lies in the dark and is not touched by the light of your flashlight will be drifting into the lively imagination of our main character. That's why we wanted to achieve a high contrast between reality (dark) and imagination/fantasy (light) by switching from filled shapes of the furniture pieces to just wiggly outlines of the imaginary creatures that they become once the light goes dark. To emphasize the dark scenery we decided for a rather monochromic color palette.
Game Over
Once your imagination gains the upper hand and you got overwhelmed by your nightly trip through the darkness, lights go on and you will be brought back to your cozy childroom's bed. So be sure that your journey does not end before your hunger for chocolate cookies is fully appeased! But if there is any craving left - maybe try again?
