I loved the design of the menu and UI elements. Also the game is sorta addicting haha. Well done!

How does your game fit the theme?
My game is a Roguelike and works like a loop. When you defeat the final boss, there is something directly related to the theme: when you thought you reached the end, it was the beginning.
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
I writed all the code from scratch, but art and sound assets I get from free asset packages, which are all credited in the game page.

Really and underrated game. Good work on this. The graphics and audio was really good this game also reminds me of "Boss Hunter X" made with python.
Boss Hunter X was a python tutorial of when I still learning to code 😅. It's been such a long time I don't think I remember the channel, but in the game all u do is fight BOSSES and it has 5 levels. But meant what I said on your game, and trust me when I say I don't give compliments I just state facts and you've got potential.
I got it glitched where if I die and win and the same time I can click restart and continue and it spawns 2 enemies that hit me together lol.
Neat game! Love the art and music. It might be nice if there was a bit more. Good job!
Very addictive, congrats !
Be aware that sometimes when an enemy spawns it directly attacks you and you're not able to defend.
The artwork is really cool, I would love to be able to attack and defend with my keyboard and not only click the buttons.
Really cool idea. I liked this game. I did run into a bug where 3-4 enemies spawned on top of each other while I was picking an upgrade. Otherwise really nice job!
Nice game. I had a bit of a hard time with the timing. Visuals are super nice - i am patreon of the designer :) Overall good job !
Here is my (first) game jam entry. Check it out if you like:
Too hard for me but a fun concept and you used the art and sound well.
The design of the menus is on the spot and the gameplay is very engaging! I felt like a duelist carefully watching the foes steps to make a move - the game feel is great!
Now, I don't know if it was intended but at some point in the game I managed to glitch the snake boss and it stayed in the screen while I was fighting the other creatures, it was very interesting to battle multiple creatures at the same time. I just lost while doing this because the snake would attack me even if I was choosing an upgrade.
Thanks! I was inspired by Dark Souls combat design, where you need to pay attention the the enemies animation before you make your move, and the enemies need to have a good anticipation before the frame attack. Abou the glich, some players are reporting about this one. The button to choose your reward spawn the enemy, but it is not being disabled after the first click, so if you click on it twice, it spawns more enemies than needed
Wow, the art is really cool!
I think I would have preferred to use keyboard instead of mouse to use the controls though. Nice music, good work!
This was a cool looking game! I like how the enemies were animated, and each attack animation was clear when it was starting and when it was finishing. One change I would make is allowing the player to operate the Attack / Defend buttons with their keyboard instead of the mouse, as I found watching the health bars, energy bars, and enemy animations, then having to click based on those a bit too much.
This is a great game! Very strategic and simple, yet really makes you focus and rewards you greatly each battle. Choosing which reward to take changes how you play the game and really is a genius take on a turn based battle system
