How does you game fit the theme?
You start with a single instrument (a flute), and you have to build more instruments to help your journey, making you not alone.

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
I used a couple of scripts from my earlier projects (sound manager), but other than that I made everything from scratch. Including the music.

this is BEAUTIFUL!!! i loved the pixel art + gamefeel, plus the sounds were a great touch. i haven't played a tower defense game in a while so i had fun, plus the instrument concept was super cool :)

Great game! The controls were confusing and the RNG gave me a LOT of trouble to craft a single instrument, but this game definively have some potential!

The relationship with the theme is also a bit far-fetched, but it's still a great game, congratulations =)

I liked the BG a lot

I really like the musical instrument tower defense concept! 🎸🎹🤘

I think you did a fantastic job although I'll admit that I also found it very difficult to figure out the controls.

though gameplay was a tad bit confusing for me, the art and music is great !

Controls and crafting confused me. I placed so many templates that I had to restart the game.
But when I figured it out it was a nice game to play)
Also I love the idea

Really interesting game! As a music composer, always appreciate a game centered about music :D

In terms of audio feedback, I think leveling the instrument SFXs and BGM would've balanced it nicer. In particular, during battle, the damage SFXs tended to overpower everything else. Would've also liked the instrument sounds to differ more (ie. guitar plays chords instead of notes, pizz on strings etc. & more notes / keys / tonalities of the BGM for different levels to create some variation/interest)

I think the implementation / fades between some tracks were a bit buggy but sounds amazing otherwise. The strings in the main battle background music could be a bit tighter, it annoyed me a little they were playing a little behind the rest of the orchestra/track. Compositionally, the BGM tracks all sounded really good and high quality, was impressed!

Favourite part for me was the graphics, really appreciated the aesthetic and idea of building the instruments using parts of them.

I agree with someone else in saying that a lot of time spent on the game is doing nothing but waiting for the waves to be over, some more interactivity would've been nice and larger difficulty as I didn't get a sense of much at stake.

Overall, very innovative way to incorporate a musically and visually aesthetic design into a cool tower defence game! Congratulations on the work!

This game is amazing, I especially liked the art direction! Very well done.

Unfortunately the UI and controls are very confusing, figuring out how the crafting works took me a while.

Really nice atmosphere. I think the initial menu with all the UI is a bit overwhelming, and the amount of controls is a lot to take in at the start, maybe a tutorial would help :)

Cool game, I enjoyed the gameplay and the music, graphics and sfx was cool. Something to improve on is saving progress. I love TD games and I was stuck at my screen playing this for ages, however I found it quite annoying that I kept dying and had to start over. A great game overall, what a good submission. If you would be so kind to rate my game, but its entirely up to you :)

PS. I watched the development of this game a lot in the discord and its really cool to see how far its come!

Great game! Would be nice if you could remove placed templates though!

This is incredible. 1 week to make such a gem makes me jealous.

I don't know how you managed to do this in 1 week, but congratulations, great sprites, effects but above all the music, great job!

also you could have told me that I need to use arrows to move around the map and shop

Congrats on finishing your game! I meant to check in during the jam, but I'm happy to see you here at submissions!

Once again, your aesthetics and style are striking and stand-out. Nicely done. The game looks very unique and those crunchy SFX give it a retro vibe. There might be a bit too much camera shake, but really only when you use your special powers. The sunset vista is cool, but there's too much glow on the sun that you can't really see enemies in front of it. Not that you really need to - it's just a bit visually unclear.

Your gameplay loop seems to be autobattler/tower defense meets small roguelite inspired progression choices. That's pretty cool. However, the gameplay just felt too slow. If everything is automated during a combat, I feel like it could be 3-4x faster and feel a lot better. Especially for a jam, this game is asking me to spend a lot of time not actually playing. Some of the controls didn't quite make sense at first - I couldn't figure out how to actually navigate the shop, and pressing left/right on the map scrolled, but pressing up/down actually moved the cursor. With so many moving parts, I can't blame you for not being able to spend more time on controls though.

Still, you made this in a week and there's a ton of game here. Super well done. Be proud and keep making games!

You made this in 6 days!?! This is amazing, the music is so awesome and the backround is so cool! One thing I didnt like was when I died, I had to start the game from the beginning. Would be cool if there would be some saveing or something, but other than that this game is awesome! :D

I really like the audio and the graphics! Although, the brightness of the sun in the beackground was kind of distracting. Also, i dont know if its just me, or that that the enemies rarely spawn, leaving me waiting for awhile. Other than that, really good game! :)

Solid and nice!

Nice background music! I had some trouble buying things from the shop tho.
