How does you game fit the theme?
The player needs to navigate across a gauntlet of traps and tentacles. The tentacles are not real, and the player can close their eyes to prevent the eldritch horrors from draining their sanity.

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
All code and visual art assets were created by our team during the jam. Music was obtained with permission.

Congratulations on the entry! Was a fun an interesting experience! My one gripe was that in some cases closing your eyes feels like more of an inconvenience than a game play element. With some tuning this could be a really compelling experience.

Hey!

First of all, congrats for finishing the game! It was really fun to play the game because I like the concept of it. The music fits very well the pixel art style which is great.

If you want some feedback, here's mine: I think the game gets hard really fast, I think that the fact that those spikes kill the player from one hit is a little bit weird, because I have to remember the whole layout of the game. Yes it was fun, but also a little bit frustrating. But other than that, it's a real cool game.

Nonetheless, I think you and your team did an amazing job! Congrats!

I would love to have you playing mine too, if you don't mind of course! ^_^

Nice use of memorization!

Brilliant idea of closing your eyes and then hoping to have the level memorized well. So satisfying. I like the pixel graphics, too. And the lovecraftian setting. So it was clear to me, that i had to play it through. :-) Very well done!

I invite you to take a look at our game, if you want. It shares the lovecraftian theme. :)

This is a clever game haha, never played anything like this before! Not even sure what I could say to improve on, everything just seemed to fit great. Hitboxes were generous too; really well done

Interesting mechanic, it's a very fun game! I don't know if it is a bug but I can open my eyes for a few frames near the tentacle thing and will not get hit.

Hey @0particle :) yeah, a bit of a known bug that we didn't have time to iron out before the deadline.  We decided to think of it as an "easter egg" haha

Thank you for the feedback though!
