In what way does your game fit the theme?
Large quantities of Bacteria and Viruses are invading the body to attack the heart, which creates chaos as you move around the heart between groups of enemies to try and control the infection, you also have limited visibility of the map and no clear indicator of where the next group of enemies may come from.

Did you write all the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
I wrote all the code, my teammate made all the art, and we used royalty free music and sounds with correct attribution.

Very fun game. I enjoyed playing it throughout. I really like having the upgrade shop.

I understand that the limited camera size is a part of the challenge, but it is rather annoying that it trails behind the player slowly catching up, especialy with higher speeds.

Great job overall!

Interesting concept! Great Job

Solid game! I felt that the progression was a bit slow, maybe make those earlier waves a bit more challenging to make it more chaotic! Loved the ideas and the different shop options. It allowed me to strategize what I needed to prioritize. I personally went reload speed all the way :)

Great game!! :)

The gameplay itself is super smooth and the concept is really really unique! I don't quite get as much of a sense of chaos from the gameplay, though, considering it's inherently quite slow paced - few enemies to start with, low rate of fire, etc. The game was still fun nonetheless!

I liked the theme quite a bit. I would have liked to see enemies better cause I liked the glass gamemode quite a bit but it's hard with the camera zoomed in so much. The progression system and animations were very well done :)

Also - those explosions were incredibly satisfying!

I like the upgrading mechanic. It all gets very hard quickly. The Idea is great.

Hi there, I liked the different take on a top-down shooter, I didn't quite make the link to the theme but enjoyed the graphics, gameplay and the challenge.  I liked not being able to see the enemies on screen but that can be disorientating searching for the viruses.  I wouldn't have minded a UI indicator to point me in the right direction tbh.  I liked the inclusion of a shop - that was a nice touch.

I think I might be your 20th reviewer (hooray!) - so this is a shameless plug to my game, if you get chance to rate and review it would be appreciated :)

Its not very chaotic but I enjoyed the game with a few updates it whould make a pretty good standalone game

Was a bit confused until I remembered to move - great game

Submitted(+1)

It was not that chaotic to be honest. But a very nice idea!

Good one! I'd change a few things but it has potential =)

Cool

The game was really fun but i feel like it could be more chaotic, and a bit faster

Good game! Maybe an indicator like an arrow pointing at where the enemies are would be nice so it's easier for the player to find them. I really liked the shop abilites and the graphics too!

Developer(+1)

Thank you! I’m glad you liked the shop, it’s one of my favourite parts of the game! I agree I think the arrow indicator would help a lot, I’m planning on making a number of UI improvements to make what’s happening in the game a bit clearer, and releasing it in a post-jam update!

Great!

Nice job! You should make more! All that I can recommend is more enemies, maybe more bosses / a mini-boss? Other than that - good job. I really liked how you could upgrade your stats, and I also liked having a more challenging 'glass mode'. I'm trying to rate a lot of the games, so if you could rate mine that's greatly appreciated!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! We had hoped to add a couple more enemy types, as well as some other levels, but ran a bit low on time. We’ll be sure to add some of these things in with an update after the jam!

Yeah, I'll try and check it out when it comes!

Nice game, I like the background music and love the art for the shopkeeper!

Developer

Thank you! The shopkeeper is one of my favourite parts of the game, we wanted to have an upgrade system but make sure it kept with the theme, so came up with this idea, I’m glad you like it!

This game was so fun I thought if you get all of the upgrades the game will be easy (and it didn't) the boss tho was very easy but fun all the way
edited: you need to add some SFX for fire and damage to make it just a bit better

Developer(+1)

Yeah we’ve realised the boss is unfortunately a bit underwhelming, so in a post-jam update we’ll probably increase the difficulty of this boss and add some more minibosses! The advice for sounds also makes a lot of sense, we found it a bit tricky to find suitable sound effects, but we’ll definitely keep looking and include them in the update!

I like the game. It was quite hard after level 5, but it was not very chaotic. It would be nice to have a minimap or some sort of indication that shows where enemies are.

Developer

The lack of the minimap is actually meant to be part of the chaos, however it does seem like the complete lack of notice is a common issue. We had wanted to implement a spawning warning instead that showed where enemies were coming from, but struggled to add it. We’re hoping to include it in our post-jam update though!
