Wow! This is one of the few games that I find actually engaging. I kept playing until the very end! The skull mechanic was interesting, but it fit the game well. The game was very polished, and this is one of the best games I have played so far in this jam!

In what way does your game fit the theme?
You wack your bouncy skull through a dungeon and let the chaos unfold!
Did you write all the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
All code and assets were made from scratch except some sound effects and the music.

It was beautiful! I can feel the quality of levels, art direction and game design. Seems on a first glance like something wobbly and bizzare (and it is, actually :p) but in reality NumbSkull is a very polished and fun puzzle! Instant favorite.
It's like if Air Hockey and Golf had a baby and it was born on Halloween. Great game, great graphics reminds me of the N64's graphics and great music. The only thing that I can really be critical about is that it could have been more chaotic. Maybe adding some special skulls with unique abilities or something else could have fit the theme more. Overall, I had a blast and can't wait to see what you further add to this game.
Aha I love that description! Thank you so much, im glad you liked it. Yeah new skulls (maybe a pumpkin) were ideas but its a jam so only got the main stuff in. I have lots of ideas of where it can go, things like potions, enemies and abilities but any suggestions are more than welcome :)
Also if you follow my itch page youll get notifications when i update it if you want to keep up!
I finished the game. First things first, it's fun to play, good job!
My personal feedback:
- I didn't figure out how to aim. It was seemingly random? I think it would be a lot more fun the skull flies towards the cursor when I hit it
- Skull shouldn't be moveable with the body. Not sure if that was encouraged or not, but I found myself pushing it a lot instead of hitting it
- It took me a while to understand how the spikes work. They are not really intuitive because that's not how players expect them to work (damage/die), so maybe another kind of art or an explanation would've worked
I did like the art style and the diversity of maps tho!
Thank you! So the skull does gets hit on a line from you to the skull with some randomness added (to stop it becoming a precision golf game) but I get it might be too much for some. I have heard other say they just pushed it and I knew some people would just optimise the fun out but i will probs remove it if i update the game. I thought with the player being a skeleton it would be implied that you arent going to die from spikes but i get that they maybe need more explanation.
Thanks for the feedback :)
Very good and polished game. Some more mechanics and a tweaking a little bit and i could totally see this as a Puzzle-Game on Steam. Keep it going👍
Very solid game. Really well polished and I love the art style and music. The gameplay is simple and fun and it feels rewarding to finally get the skull where it's supposed to go. Great job!
Super polished. This is fantastic. The in game UI broke for me, but otherwise it's 100%. Would play again.
My favorite submission of this jam till now! A simple, well executed idea with fun mechanics, nice sound design, really aesthetic looks, and the music is fun and not overly repetitive. Very fun and clean project!
Cool game. Very fun art style. I found that I didn't need to hit the skull though. I could just walk into it and guide it to the end. Good job though.
I like this 3d pixel art (or whatever it's called xD), great coherence between graphics and audio. Great work!
awesome game! The graphics are fantastic and mesh really well, the audio is cute and catchy, and the gameplay is fun and satisfying! One of my favorite submissions
