I really like the mechanics and visuals, but I think it got too difficult too fast. I gave up on level three because hitting the double jump markers was getting very frustrating.

I really liked the simple color palette and general aesthetics, level 4 will certainly be in my nightmares :P Great job overall, very well done!

Lovely design, it felt really effortlessly beautiful while also being extremely readable for the mechanics! Only design work I'd suggest to tweak would be a more nuanced way of presenting the numbered buttons so they don't break with the aesthetic quite so much.

While the first two levels are expertly balanced, the third level is waaaaay too hard. Like some of the comments below I think this is simply because of how hard it is to trigger the double jump, as that saw me failing many times (because I couldn't double jump) even though I was jumping in the right place at the right time. I'd generally say with platformers like this you'd want to make the hitbox larger than the object to add that little bit of leeway for the player.

It's also worth noting that I never moved both characters at the same time, as that seemed like the easiest way to play, but you could really crank up the complexity of the game by making that necessary for some of the puzzles.

But yeah; if this were a full game on steam or mobile I'm sure it'd do great!!

I'd love to hear your thoughts on my game: https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-5/rate/928249 :)

the game was really good. but the difficulty is way too hard, checkpoint would be nice

I like the idea, art style, and music. good job!

I like the simple black and white Art Style so much! Nice game!

art is great and the concept is good. The mechanics need a bit of tweaking. Getting the double jump to trigger was a bit more difficult than it probably should be. Made the movement controls a bit more frustrating when I would take a big jump to reach an arrow but miss the arrow and then not be able to recover.

Otherwise a great game and amazing that you were able to add as much as you did during the jam.

double jump is a bit weird to me but I love everything else!

Great game.  I like how the white and black levels interact with each other, I found that quite creative.   Good job.

The double jump arrow was a bit funky for me but I loved the art style and the music, I definitely would play this again

Absolutely stunning game!

Great art and extremely clever main mechanic. I would maybe tweak the double jump arrow, but other than that, really loved it. Great job!

Definitely something I'd play if it was out on Steam in a fuller version. I absolutely love the gameplay and the level design, but I find the controls a bit messy. There's a kind of inertia when the character is in the air that confuses me a lot. But there's definitely an idea to explore and improve. I hope to see a shipped version in the (hopefully near) future !
