Well, five stars for inovation, can't say I played on of these before. Also the only game in the jam so far I encountered having a 'lore' page, so, bonus point for that.

Games hard, or I'm terrible, so I don't see myself winning a race anytime soon.

Wondering though, is it a legit wound up UFO, or are we racing toy cars here?

_________

Occassionally I encountered an issue where my alien would drop through the floor, after knocking himself out after running into the UFO.

Very unique concept & gameplay, took me some time to figure it out. The handling is very hard and I manage to get stuck at the track walls (mostly in between the cylindrical segments.) Maybe making the UFO bounce off at collision would help. Funny though, poor Sigmoid! 😂

Took me a minute to understand how to play and then  I was off to the races.  I still came in last but I had a fun time with these two silly characters.  I do wish that I didn't fall over if I accidentally ran into anything.

Very frustrating but good game !

I've didn't understood how to play at first, but besides that I've managed to get 3rd at the end xD !

And the jumping/shock animation is very hilarous !

Good job !

What a funny (rage) game. I really like the style of the game (ragdolls, graphics...), the idea behind it.

The controls are a bit weird/fast in kind of uncontrollable. Sometimes if you are unlucky the ufo stops that far away, that it's a bit annoying. Im on my laptop and forgot my mouse at home, it would have been easier if the winding up part is also on the keyboard (but I think that's my problem :D)

But overall it's a good and the most important FUN game. Good job!

This is actually epic. I love the lore and the goofy movement of the character, the mechanic of winding up the ufo is really original. I was really bad at it, though I imagine a speedrun of this game would be pretty incredible. Overall just really good!

Developer

can’t wait for the butwhylevin speedrun.

Frustrating but hilarious! The art / music are great, but the controls are definitely bit a tough.  The ragdoll flops are a nice touch. Well done!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! I agree, the controls could definitely use some adjustments. I'm glad you liked the game regardless though!

Such a unique concept :D
But it's very unforgiving if you fail and the UFO stops at the end of the track haha🤣
But you have to love the Ragdollefect 😄
this alien is so nice! It would be even more awesome if the camera wasn't that shaky 🤔

Thanks for trying it out! I agree, it can be really hard to get between the UFO and controller at certain points and we could've probably made some adjustments to the track layout to make it more fair. And I'm glad you liked the ragdolling effect despite the camera not being perfect! I spent a lot of time minimizing the stuttering issue but couldn't get it quite right.

Well that was bizarre. Nice idea with having to wind it up, but I think I would've enjoyed it a lot more if a) the UFO didn't turn so sharply and b) the controller was always with the player. It was a bit annoying how I would wind up the UFO halfway down the track, then by the time I got back to the controller the UFO's power had gone down by nearly 3/4. I did appreciate the different hats and the jumping sound effects, made it feel very silly.

Developer

Yeah, steering could definitely be tweaked and the track layout could probably be adjusted to better suit quick traversal across the map. Glad you could appreciate the game's craziness though!
