It's awesome! I especially love the looks of the girl, I do art just as well!

The story being told through the music worked really well for me, and I liked the fragments of the school dotted around the levels, hinting at what's to come.  I'm very impressed that you got multiple endings in there as well. Great work all round!

Thank you so much :D

Not bad. The gameplay was solid, I really enjoyed playing.

I really enjoyed the change in tone of music and graphics as you start realizing what you've done. I did find it weird at first that it was often detrimental to your progress to kill the enemies, so I actually stopped after a while and just let dodged them (thank goodness!!)

Definitely a very cool entry, and it works really well with the theme :D

The story, pixel art music are very nice. I like the change of atmosphere after entering the school. What I'm missing here are more challenging levels here and some sound effects. Solid piece of work anyway!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback. I appreciate it :)

Yeah, sound fx do make a big difference.

Nice job! Good tight platforming mechanics that were challenging but fair. Great music too. I found that I didn't really ever use the attack button and I'm not sure if it was even necessary, but I would pick a different key from J - it didn't feel comfortable to use J for attack maybe E or something closer to WASD. Congrats - great entry

Developer

Thank you so much.

Well, I know it's not very obvious but there are multiple endings. To achieve some of those endings, using the attack is actually something that you cannot do. but for others, maybe you need it.

And yeah, the J was the wrong choice for the attack. I should have gone with something simpler. Like F.

Thank you for the feedback :)

Interesting take on the theme
I find it funny that after playing through whole game with that energetic music that made me wanna go i had to face the fact i actually did something horrible :D
Nice game :)

This is great. Very pretty art, animation and fun gameplay.

One question  though: Is there a jump cooldown? Sometimes I'm not able to jump and it feels frustrating.

But hey, very good job!

Developer

Thank you so much :D

No, I just implemented the jump in a way that I shouldn't have.

Amazing artwork and very nice soundtrack. Animations and game control are absoloutely perfect, everything works smootly. Makes alot of fun. However there is one little thing i would change and thats the attack button. Using the left mouse button or another  button would be much better i guess. Keep up the good work.

Developer

Thank you so much muro1!
Yes, it  was a bit hard for me to figure out which button to use for the attack.
I ended up using J because it was further away from the other keys, although using click could have been a good idea as well.

Thank you so much for playing and thank you for the kind words :)

Nice game! Would have loved a counter of some sort to see how many hearths I have collected/missed. Really like to story :)

Developer(+1)

Yes, I thought about having a counter, but due to time limitations I could not.
I felt it wasn't worth the time putting that in since everything you need to know about the level is shown right in front on you (there are no secrets or hiding places).

After the voting is over, and if I have time, I might tweak some things about the game, add different levels and endings and I may add a counter ;)

Thank you for playing, I'm glad you enjoyed it :D
