Cool art style. Gameplay reminds me of Bastion. For the love of Pete reduce the base enemy HP! :)

This game is serious. Amazing looking graphics and very nice game concept. I liked the world space Ui and the effect how the level came together, piece by piece. Awesome job done. Return button for attack is probably not the best idea but i am sure you can fix that. Audio would also be great.Thanks.

Developer

Thanks for the compliments and ideas! I do agree the controls need to be changed up a bit, and audio is a must for my post-jam build. Thanks again~

Wow! One of my favorites, for sure :) How many hours did you put into this? All those animated object must have been time-demanding... Really wish you had the chance to work more content :) Wonderfully crafted levels and colors. It all fits together, but I missed the audio :( Check out mine, when you have the time: https://greenworks.itch.io/love-light

I really appreciate this! I don't have an official hour count but I'm guessing ~40+ across the week with the last 2 days loaded more. I have a bad habit of creating obsessively extendable code that can be useful in a jam to an extent, but definitely eats up time. I had a much larger level planned, and wanted to smooth out some clunkiness, and definitely missed out on audio. But I hope to expand on this project as the base is there. Again, thanks!

It's good that you are able to do such elaborate stuff, like in this game! And if you already know about yourself, that it's time-demanding, consider getting extra help from people with similar views when working on such strict deadlines. I mean when you know it gets complicated don't try to it all by yourself :)

I really like the art style and the assembling effects! On the other side, the movement and attacking is pretty slow and just dont feel good maybe add jumping and make him hit faster and longer, also you cant really see where the collider for hitting enemies is, because the sword isnt moving at all

all in all: i like your game and i think you can easily add or improve attacking and probably also movement

Developer

I really appreciate this constructive feedback! Thanks! The attack animation was put on the backburner and I unfortunately didn't get to it in time. Originally there was a purpose to not having a jump which didn't manifest itself. These are things I'll be working on in the future, thanks again!

yea there is no need to add jumping to the game, it was just a suggestion

Which is appreciated! I've been playing with some extra mobility options for a potential post-jam build. I'm thinking it will serve the combat system in the end too!
