How does the game fit the theme?
Making mistakes makes the game harder. So nothing can go wrong or else you'll loose the game pretty quickly.

More details: If you don't deliver packets in time, they expire and a few more spawn at random locations. So making mistakes makes the game exponentially harder for you over time.

What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
Frameworks (Vue.js, Nuxt.js) & utility libraries

This is such a fun one

I did have an issue telling which node is the next to be sent out but after a couple failed rounds I got the hang of it

Very cool! had a little bit of mini-metro / mini-motorway DNA but with its own unique twist, enjoyed it :)

This was really unique. I think there needs to be a visual cue to differentiate which packet is next to be moved. Maybe when you hover over the node, the next available packet also highlights? It became unclear for me once there were a lot of them which one was going to move when I created a path. I loved the art style here, too. Nice work!

The game had a very unique idea, however I think it starts out with way too many packets spawned. I also think having all of the packets move from one node and letting them stop at the nodes along the path as they go (e.g. there is a pink, red, and purple packet on one node. You connect that node through a path that includes all colors of nodes and they all start moving on their way.) Best of luck on getting more ratings!!

Great little puzzle game, I love it!

Simple yet addictive gameplay. Visuals are basic too but man it feels clean great game

Nice background story, the artwork is simple yet stylish. But couldn't figure out the gameplay :(

Submitted

It was a very different game, but it was cool

The game is cool! It's super clean. Great job!

Thank you very much!

Nice game ! The UI is very clean

Developer

Thank you!

Nice little game! It quickly becomes overwhelming but great idea! :)

Developer

Thank you! Yea definitely. I didn't want the game to last too long, because it would then become tedious and boring. But it does get quite hard quite fast.

Submitted

Clean ui. Ramps up fast once you start missing packets.

Welp, I'm stressed

A wonderfully nerdy game and way too close to RL. Yes, yes, the algorithm is sound, nothing can go wrong! Enjoyed this a lot!

Developer

Thank you! Just trust the algorithm, it's never wrong!

Great concept, reminds me of mini metro and mini motorways, but with exponentially growing complexity (which is good for such type of games). Fits the theme. However, what disappoints me is the lack of any kind of sound effects :( Overall, liked the game.

Developer (1 edit)

Thanks! You're right, it's definitely inspired by Mini Motorways.

Good point about the sounds. I couldn't really come up with a great idea at the of the jam, so I initially  just gave up. However I had this idea on friday, so I had to make it work in like two days. Unfortunately I couldn't find time for sounds, even though I really wanted to. :(

But I will improve this a bit in the near future and this will include sounds ;)

Would love to see how this game progresses over time!

Really cool using modern frontend tech to make a full game (good choice on Tailwind).

In typical web dev fashion, Firefox has issues; the lines don't show up for some reason. It could also be nice having a background music and SFXs (maybe through the <audio> tag?)

Other than that, great execution. Really like it!

Developer

Well, it wouldn't be a web project without browser comaptibility issues I guess. Luckily just a small thing, so should be fixed now.

Good point, I'll definitely add sound effects and music in a post-jam version.

Thank you, both for the report and for playing!

This uses Tailwind AND Vue? This is relevant to my interests, 11/10

Developer

Yes it does! Had way too little time to figure out Unity or Godot again, so I just went with what's comfortable. But it does really help with certains types of games to have a reactive UI by default.

Gorgeous game, I love the visuals! Also love that you did not use a game engine, as in your other game Bobbity, quite impressive! Even in easy mode after a while it was not so easy (especially after having a beer :) Congratz!

Developer

Thank you so much!

Yea, it's quite hard to find the right balance between providing a chill introduction, making it more challenging over time but also not too stressful too fast.  Not sure if I succeeded with that, but I tried. Thanks for playing!
