How does the game fit the theme?
The game fits the theme "Nothing can go wrong..." by creating a humorous contrast between the illusion of a calm, productive remote work environment and the chaotic reality of distractions, technical failures, and an ever-watchful manager.

At first, everything seems under control—just collect yarn balls and work. But then, problems start piling up: pop-ups, system crashes, notifications, and unexpected video calls. The more you try to focus, the more things go wrong, leading to a true "Chatastroph!"

The theme is reinforced through the escalating absurdity of workplace challenges, making the player realize that, despite their best efforts, things will inevitably spiral out of control—because, of course, nothing can go wrong... or can it? 😼

What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
Some sound, but all thinks are done by a designer (@Katanajellyfish)

I’d be grateful if you could check out the game I worked on during this game jam (I was responsible for the 3D)

Love this game! I especially enjoyed how the cat turned around as if to say, 'Why haven’t you pressed the play button yet?' - and Whiskers 3 was a great touch. The computer case crashing sound startled me for the first time lol.  Creating this in just 48 hours is seriously impressive—the results are fantastic!

As the designer of the game, I'm delighted to read your comment! 'The Whisker 3' is a special nod to a game that means a lot to me.
Glad you enjoyed the Chat-astroph! :)

it’s a cute little game, and the fact that you could answer the coworker’s call and have a little animation was a funny touch.

good work!

I had fun playing! Totally felt like work... all those pesky distractions from my clicking games lol. I really like how the mouse cursor changed when hovering over the monitor in game. It looked and felt good.

Just the right amount of coziness and chaos at the same time! Great art and the music was soothing to hear.

The artwork was really cool! Loved the little touches like the computer mouse being an actual mouse!

I really liked the visual style. The cat's emotions are very funny. I was a little scared when the cat's PC broke for the first time🤣

Thanks! I loved drawing him and imagining him at the end of his rope with his completely ridiculous boss.
