Wow, hard game but I love it!
Omg the story at the beginning is so fun, the pixel art is awesome and immediately pulls me into the story. I would have loved if I could hold the shield button down to continue blocking (and maybe the mouse release is the bash attack) but other than that this was a really fun play, you've created a really fun atmosphere

Nice art, gameplay, audio and idea.
I really enjoyed this one. One small suggestion though. In the lightning strike portion, maybe it would be nice if instead of a circle appearing where the lightning will next strike; There could be one big circle and one smaller one inside it which grows to the size of the bigger one before strike. This would better indicate when the lightning actually strikes.

I had a bug where I couldn't progress past the temple steps but the art was lovely and the gameplay was great, had a lot of fun!

I saw the animation of the lady getting pulled up but then I couldn't find a way to progress. I couldn't move to the right and I couldn't climb the stairs. I also accidentally threw my shield outside of the map border and couldn't reach it :(
did you try jumping the stairs? or did you try but got stuck anyway?
and the shield bug, yea unfortunately I missed some colliders in some places, ill make sure to fix!.

This game is an absolute masterpiece, especially for someone like me who’s been searching endlessly for the perfect game to, well, fight monkeys! The graphics? Stunning, though I was a bit distracted wondering when I’d finally get to battle those apes. The gameplay is top-tier, keeping me hooked as I roamed vast worlds, hunting for a showdown with monkeys. The storyline? It’s there... but where are the monkeys? Every mission felt like a tease, almost like the game knows I’m after some primate action. In conclusion, it’s great—but seriously, where are the monkeys? I want to be monkey! 🐒

Amazing game, i didn't think id see so many animations cutscenes, and environments so graphics are where your game shines the most. Ngl not the biggest fan of escort missions but I will overlook that. Very Very good

Totally understandable, it's still a really great side-scroller, and also another thing I forgot to mention is that I liked how the backgrounds are really varied - from sunny at first and then transitioning to a stormy night. The wave animations also add that extra bit of immersion to the game! Good job to you and the team! :)
