How does your game fit the theme?
In this game, you play as a girl who just threw a massive party at her house. but now it's the next morning, and you have to sort everything out before your parents arrives !
My goal was to fit the theme by having 2 gameplay phases : the first one while you'r alone in the house, sorting everything - the calm - and the second one when your parents gets there and "judge" your work - the storm.
in the end, my two phases ended up a bit similar gameplay-wise, but i think you really get the feel of the "calm" when your parents have not yet arrived, contrasted with the intense period with them.
In a way, it's also the calm *after* the storm, since the game takes place in a party aftermath.
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
i wrote all the code, exept for the character controller that comes from a starter kit, but i ended up almost re-writing the whole thing.
Most of the 3d assets are from kenney.nl
SamWritesMusic made the music !
Some of the sounds effects are made by me, others come from kenney.nl
appart from that, i made everything alone

Fun gameplay loop, the movement feels nice and I like the idea of having to quickly clean up a house! I see the overcooked vibes that this has, with a little bit more chaos and multiplayer it could definitely work :D

Fun little game, the songs fit the calm and storm in a not annoying way or those sound nice.
There was a thing with the objects and placing those near walls that make them climb the wall, like in the image I’ll leave. By accident I pressed E and not Q and the cleaner ended up there haha, similar to other objects
Other than that, I didn’t encounter bugs, the ending is funny because the parents are clueless haha, though I didn’t end up cleaning all the trash, but that party was for sure crazy because some parts of the house were on fire and the stains are all over the house hahaha
aah yeah that's also a problem i didn't have time to handle, but it should be an easy fix, i'll look into it, thanks ! yeah idk what happened that night but it was for sure an intense party ahah. glad you enjoyed :)!
Nice game to play! At the start, It felt like I was playing "60 Seconds!" but it was a different game. I like the clean-the-house concept! However, I couldn't manage to empty the trash, and sometimes trash stays on top of the trash bin despite going in.
There can be arrows that show where the fire extinguisher, spray, and mop are (I don't know if they exist). Moreover, extra arrows to show where we can refill these items could be added.
Overall, a nice game, and I had fun while playing it! Well done!
Ooh indicators are actually a good idea ! however it might part of the fun to have to look for those items 🤔i'll try it out once the jam is over !

I loved the gameplay loop, really nice game. It run a bit choppy on my PC and the graphics could be improved, but the game is really fun and very innovative, I liked it a lot. I see the influences and I think you did a great job making your own game!
PS: My parents were clueless, I loved using items to "clean"

Fun little game. I like how you discover more ways to clean up the house by doing the start thing, as in you do trash first, then realise theres a fire extinguisher, and then you find hand sanitizer as well
Really good game. Kept finding new things every play through.
Super fun game with an "Overcooked" feel. It was just challenging enough for me, I had to really lock in for my second attempt. The controls feel amazing and overall just good game. Good job and keep up the good work!

2. the level design is good and with different layers in a 3d enviroment
3. the music change from calm to storm is good
4. I LOVED it when the parents came in and had metal gear solid style vision cones, however it didn't seem to impact much . Would have liked this mechanic instead to be... first you clean alone, then when they come you need to keep cleaning but this time with the pressure of not being seen by them, adds extra tension.
5. different puzzles solutions required for each cleaning type was good, picking up, spray bottle and fire extinguisher adds nice variety to gameplay. However after I filled the trash can not sure if I had to put it outside when it was stinky or okay to leave it
6. Played through it twice, bugs encountered were sometimes trash would pile up on the can and not go in. If I walked into some objects like a spray bottle on the ground it would stutter and lag my game badly
7. Not sure if there is an amount needed to successfully beat the game, seems hard to clean everything, but i won both times I played even though I still had trash on the ground
Additional musings: picking up the mirror or carpet is funny and janky, like the jump, like falling from the first floor to the second, like the transparent walls, "why do i need to clean up outside, outside is supposed to be dirty" , "who left all that green goo in the bed..."

thanks for the review ! The idea of having to escape your parents as well as cleaning is actually a good one, i might try to implement that after jam !
For the trash, it's not really explicit (i added it in the "Tips" section on the itch page), but you can actually throw it into a fire to burn it once it's full.
The colliders of the trash are kinda fucked up :/ but that's an easy fix i hope. as for the spray causing lag i think it might be because of the particles in browser version acting weird ? not sure, i'll try to look into it, thanks :)
As for the difficuty, there's actually a difficulty setting, set to easy by default, wich you can change in game. It controls the amount of mess your parents have to see for you to lose the game. It was meant to be played in "normal" difficulty, but while playtesting a few of my friends found the game too hard so i changed the default to easy !

FRICKING LOVED this one! It had just the right amount of challenge. And I also really liked that when the parents got home there still was some time to cleanup. I did forget that I could jump, which got me a little confused on how to reach objects in higher places. I gave this one the highest rating thus far. Congrats on making such a good game!

I really like the concept and the music makes it even funnier! I wish the game was more forgiving when putting the trash into the bins. I found myself dropping the items on top of the walls sometimes, but at least there is a jump ability to grab them back. Also, I found trouble extinguish the fires, but probably that is my fault. Keep up the good work!

Nice one ! Graphics are pleasing and the house design is good. The colliders for dropping the items in the trash are a bit clunky, I ended up dropping them on the floor or on walls some times. Also, you may want to update your itch page settings to enlarge the web player size, the default is very small. The windows exe was not working for me, but I guess this is now locked during the rating phase.
