How does your game fit the theme?
The first few levels should represent the "Calm" part (they are relatively easy and introduce the mechanics) and the last level should represent the "Storm" (it is relatively hard). The environment also becomes worse the more the game progresses.

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
Yes we made all the code and assets ourselves.

I like the Graphic, the controls are easy to understand and overall the game looks great! I like Jump and Run and with an Controller it was very challenging for me ^^

Developer

Glad you enjoyed it! We hope to make the experience feel more refined on controller in the next update as well :)

This is a hidden gem in this jam! The movement is incredibly flued and it reminded me a of Celeste a lot. I can't really describe what playing this game feels like so I would encourage everyone reading this to at least try it out, it will definitely be worth your time.

The only problem I encountered would be accidentally walking back into the last section and dying which would send me to that previous section's start, but that's a pretty easy fix and didn't hurt my experience at all.

Amazing game and I would 100% play the full version of this.

Developer

Thank you so much for your kind words. All the feedback we will take into account and release fixes in the next update after the gamejam voting has ended. Our goal for this next update is to clean up those bugs and make the movement and every individual ability feel even more refined. I am really glad you enjoyed the game and want to thank you for the compliment of comparing it to Celeste.

Loved it ! very clever and inovative mechanics, the drawing one excpetialy ! the jump was also very satisfying. the end bit was ultra hard compared to the rest, but overall it was very fun playing, the levels were interesting and never felt repetitive. i loved the graphics, too, very cute !! thanks for the game :)

I have to say it was the game that I spend playing more time, very fun but got frustrated once the checkpoints were so far away. would consider improvving collision mechanics

Developer

Thank you! The collision mechanics will get an update when voting period is done.

I like the variation of different mechanics and how they work together. The x ability, although fun, was a bit hard to use. Especially on spikes.

I'm commenting on this game right now and I see it has no other ratings or comments, which I don't understand because this is probably one of those most technically impressive games I've played in the jam so far.

Did you really implement all these movement designs and levels in just one week... I'm blown away, its very impressive!

1) The line spawning movement ability on the 'x' is insanely cool and impressive.

2) the level design is awesome, I was impressed immediately off the bat when I had to drop and hover with my 'z' ability in one of the first screens. The 'z' is a ton of fun to use, jumping and hovering was great and reminded me of mario sunshine

3) the dash could use a little work, it doesn't feel as good as the other two abilities

4) each new level had a building challenge and forced me to combine my abilities to get through. There was no text prompt tutorial at all anywhere, yet I was able to learn and discover my abilities on their own

5) I'm going to mention the 'x' line draw ability again, it was that cool

6) character design is cute and unassuming, a good main character model, the swirling wind around the hover conveys the ability nicely and looks good. The environmental artwork could use some work

7) Before my criticism I want to say I'm giving this game top ranks, that being said it was a little janky and frustrating, getting the line to spawn when I fell down on some spikes seemed to happen at random. If you land poorly with the line, a jump won't save you. I was able to get as far as mid way through chapter 4 or maybe it was near the end but had to stop because the check point was so punishing and the game was growing in difficulty and I need to move onto other jams, regardless I pretty much dropped a 5 on every metric for this one. I hope you don't mind I gave this game a lot of criticism just because of how good it is and would love to see it polished. Phenomenal work, this was a joy to experience. Did I mention how great the level design was?

8) Sadly there is no sound or music, hope you can collab with someone next time to add music and sound and this game would be 5s across the board with a nice beat to play to

Developer

Thank you so much for this amazing reply!

We are aware of the jank with the spikes and the line renderer. However, our lovely dev @Sourcey is trying his best to see if he can improve it. So I don't want to promise anything but there might even be an update after the voting period.

Also, yes, sadly no audio because time and things. But I would love to work with a real artist(since now us three programmers did all the art) and a musician next time.

I'll definitely check out your game today aswell!
