The goal is to weather the incoming storm by securing enough supplies.

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
I took code for classic Perlin noise and sound effects from Kenney.nl

pretty cool although I struggled to figure out what I was supposed to do. Good job though!

Interesting idea, took a moment to figure out how it works but it's fun. Graphics are nice and it works nicely with the theme.

I think the weather should be a bit less random and / or move slower, it did not feel like I could make meaningful decisions by routing the planes through the blue area.

I managed to survive even though two of my planes were down lol. Very interesting and unique game you've got there! You've also got good graphics (especially the psychedelic bg that reminds me of one of Sonic CD's special stages), unique and engaging gameplay, and simple audio design.

Very cool concept. Somehow it reminded me of old traffic control Flight Control game on mobile. Great job!

Very unique take on the theme! The visual style is interesting. Very difficult game, but also replayable. It takes a run to learn how to play, then you can focus on the fun challenge of keeping your base breathing and your planes intact. There could be a score or a timer to tell you how long you managed to survive, to increase the replay value further.

interesting idea. no an easy game. i'm having fun and retrying it.

I believe you're trying out some kind of procedural or algorithm code for the background? that's pretty cool.

Developer

Yes, it's a Perlin noise that is mapped into the colors.

Pretty cool game, but you can also put text in every location to say what keys to press in specific actions rather than trying to memorize each control :)

Hope that you'll also rate mine https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-12/rate/2973690

Love the idea! The mechanics were also really well made and thought out. Difficulty really picks up in the middle but still feels fair

Enjoyed my time playing this. Looking forward to your next game!

It's a good design

this is a really cool idea. I loved navigating around the perlin storms. at one point I was able to trade out one plane for another on the landing pad. For the most part I just piloted one plane at a time, since I had to make some tight corners with them.

I think it would be more fun if there was a more crisp line between storm and not-storm, so that it would sometimes be safe to leave a plane out in the open. Or larger spaces between storms, so that it would be (sometimes) feasible to send a plan off in a long line

Developer

Thank you for the detailed feedback! You make good points.

Super underrated game! This was actually so fun and I would love to see it fleshed out

Nice job and great idea. It's honnestly really hard to avoid storms. Maybe I am not fast enough but it's a really great idea.

Developer(+1)

Yes, by the end, the storms are so bad you need to mostly stay at base and look out for the rare opportunity to go for resources :)

Got it thanks
