Thanks for the kind words. How did you find the difficulty? Did you manage to kill it the first try?

Noted for the cockpit view and the scroll and rotate map.

Hello thanks for the kind words. All the assets in game are handmade (Trees, grass, textures...). I use it mainly for marketing material and code. Let me know if you have more question :) .

Code

I have an autocomplete that uses ollama and a qwen model. Here is how it is connected
https://ollama.com/library/qwen3.5
https://docs.ollama.com/integrations/jetbrains

Also some chatgpt mostly when I don't find answers on google.

Marketing material

Beauty shots

I used filters on top of existing screen shots.

Works really well with the theme of the jam. Hope you will add more because that was really fun! Do you plan on making it a boss game ore will there be platformer levels?

Thanks a lot for the kind words. Glad you liked it!

All should have been addressed (Exept fpp). Note older save won't work for this update. I had too many breaking changes to make them compatible though I may be able to upgrade it manually if you send me your save.

Thanks for all the feedback!

The flash when scanning is a little better but still sorta bright.  Maybe make a setting option to disable it entirely.  ;)

I like the disable option will do that for next build.

I made a lot more progress making discoveries on different planets.

Awesome!

Another observation/suggestion, the way messages display in the middle of the screen with a shaded background block the view of what you're trying to do IMO

I see. I am thinking to do a different layout for wide screen. The goal of the current layout is to work ok on all resolutions. But I think it would be interesting to have specific ones for wide screens, hand helds...  Will take some work and won't be an easy change so don't expect a quick fix but will work on making it better.

Let me know if you find more!

New version is up

https://geekzebra.itch.io/astriom/devlog/1529114/cosmic-events-bugfix-v0011f2

Dimmed the flash

Added a FPP to control ship. Press 'c' to enable. Note this is a first draft there are loads of issues with it and in the current state more a gimmick than an actual gameplay feature.

Hope you like it

Awesome to hear and thanks a lot for the kind words. There was some tweaks in the color balance. I am pretty happy with this one but still need some tweaks.

Noted for the screen flash will think of a solution but especially on wide screen might be too intense.

For the cockpit view it's planned. It's pretty easy for me to setup a camera on the sit. However it will take some time to give it a really good feel. So will add a first hidden version on the next build (Switch key be explained on the change log but will probably be 'c'). Might take some iterations to get it right and fun.

If you want to track progress also I made a public trello.

Thanks let me know if you have more feedback!

Love the 90s vibe. Especially with the arrow controls everything :D. I would need help understanding how to attack. I kept spamming Z but my character never attacked. I tryed holding typing. Pressing X + Z nothing worked. Maybe I missed something. Let me know would love to give it an other try.

I like the weird handdrawn graphics. It really feel home made but it's very consistent. Would be nice to have some music in the background for future improvements. But overall works great

Very nice! I think it lake a little bit of sound design. Graphics are good and game is easy to understand. well done!

[EDIT]

New version up with fixes for your issues. Thanks a lot :) https://geekzebra.itch.io/astriom/devlog/1523693/cosmic-events-v0011

Thanks for the feedback!

when I talk to Haarif or whatever his name is to sell discoveries, I'm trapped in that overlay screen and no key or mouse click gets me out.

Ok I think I had an other playtester that had this issue. Wasn't able to reproduce but since it's not an isolated issue will priorise this.

Controls are good but please add Invert Y

Noted

I think there may be some bugs with 2560x1080

I haven't tested large screens yet but will see

But after some polish I think this game will be a hit on Steam!

Thanks a lot for the kind words.

Gave me online flash games vibe. Loved the effort you put in the dev log. Maybe a bit too technical for non dev players. That being said most people on the jam will be dev anyway. Good job!

Thanks for giving it a try. Yeah the editor is very rough right now. I am working on adjustments for it. Thank you for the kind words!

No worries I was curious ;) . Cool idea hope you will update it at some point.

Love the game idea. Went bankrupt not sure how to generate money early on. On the devlog side it's very cool and you made a lot of effort with screen shots. It's very clear what you added. My fav dev log so far :)

Not sure I could understand the game I tried mining but didn't seem to do much. I thought it was the triangles maybe? Let me know. Love the art style and seems fun. Did you do a devlog somewhere. I couldn't find it but maybe missed it.

Did you have time to add more updates https://yeyeyy.itch.io/snail-breeding-game/devlog/1479206/news-03 ? Or that was the last one?

Game is short but love the art style. Did you have time to do a dev log? I couldn't find it but was wandering if it was a Itch issue. Let me know :)

Oh sorry I typed too fast this is what I meant: I think the game overall is a fun idea.

The roll back was definitely a bug and not fun :D .

Is there any interactions in the game? I just had Bang at the end. Would love if it could be possible to not die or multiple endings.

Funny. I had a weird roll back when I clicked the plant icon and went back. Is it expected? I think that's a funny idea and if pushed could be very fun.

Will add this tip let me know if that helps :)

Looks very cool! finished the tutorial but everything looks super small on screen (4K monitor). Will give it a try on a Full HD screen. It's really hard to play on that scale.
Love this kind of reverse gameplay.

Hey thanks for trying it. Could you send me your save file?
It's called save.json located on %userprofile%\AppData\LocalLow\GeekZebra\Astriom

You should normally have quests popping. After the first one maybe there was an issue. Would help me figure out what happened.

Noted for the exit and the editor will see how I can improve those to make sure they are visible. Maybe an indicator on screen or something.

Had fun playing it and a great way to implement the theme.

Thanks a lot for playing. The news paper is the end of the game. It's very short.

Thanks for playing it! Sorry you had some issues with the penguin being knocked off.

Thanks for the kind comment. Glad you enjoyed it.

Glad you liked the visuals and the penguin ability. Thanks for the kind words :)

Would have loved to add more animals. Thanks for the kind words.

Great way to implement the theme. Had fun playing it!

Love the mechanic. Had a hard time to catch it but once I got it I was woaaah that's cool. Very creative solution and nice audios.

Nice quite hard at first glance but after a few minutes managed to control the ship. Was fun.

Very fun! Fits the theme really well. I really enjoyed trying to get all the coins. Great addition to increase play time.

Looks awesome!

Thanks for the kind words :). Glad you didn't get lost <3. Kindly the dev :P

Glad you liked it! Thanks for the kind words!

Oh ok got it.

Really cute and heartbreaking story. Is it possible to survive after you found the body? I tried several time but kept being spawn killed by a pig. I was wandering if that was intended?
