Artstyle and music is great but i don't understand what's goin on in the game. In the first level there is some girl throwing projectiles. I couldn't reach her, i could just walk around. Intro cutscene is very good too.
Not much to comment on for the current state of the game. It could have been a nice game if it was finished.
That was a game I guess? I see the vision behind this game, but the realisation is really, really rough. Art is really expressive, but there is not much behind that art.
Hope you can finish the game after jam!
On the negative, the gameplay and game length could use some improvements, since the battles are seconds long and the bosses don't really have any moveset (at least as far as I saw). On the very positive side, the art is amazing, oozing with charm. With a few tweaks this could be great, no doubt. Great job in what is here and best of luck in what I'm sure is coming next
This game has so much character! The illustrations are so dynamic and the character designs are unique and stylized. The environments were also very well executed. I did think that the game was too easy and I was able to defeat each boss within a few clicks. I think the gameplay could definitely be improved, but aesthetically the game is beautifully made.
The starting art is so nice, kudos to the artist.
This style is just wonderful, the work done with the characters is amazing. There are flaws in the technical part, but I can't call it bad. I would like to wish you good luck
Awe no web version :C I love sea food lol. Any chance you'll upload a web version post jam?
The ideas I would say are all here, there’s a really fun execution of the exchange theme, there is a solid artstyle, and good concepts for the bosses, but the execution falls a bit short in terms of gameplay. Nevertheless, I can’t say it’s not ambitious and interesting. Good job and keep going!!
Looked really cool, so full points for that, other than that it is a... game I guess. The first enemy was hard to get to because I didn't understand that the right click was a throw attack and the geometry was horrible (maybe next time make it either easier to get to or make it more clear that you DON'T have to get to them), but the rest were too easy. All that said it is a small charming game about cultural exchange and love (for sushi and the lack there of).
OMGG! Such a polished game! Well-done :D
The art was so cute! The attack animation looked more like a block than an attack so I was a little confused, but I saw the health drop. the first level I could only attack the boss with the soy sauce, and the other levels didn't really feel like the bosses were attacking me. I really liked the concept of cultural exchange, and the dancing shrimp was *chefs kiss*
Sadly i cant play it on mac :,c But i need to say, the art looks awesome! Have success!
The art is really cool! Unfortunately the bosses fell flat for me, I just ran up to them and clicked a few times and they were dead. It’s a shame about the soy sauce as well, it actually didn’t work on level 1 for me either.
I love the art of this game! And good job Sandro, he really did his best to beat the sushi. A really cute game, good job!
A lovely introduction. I quite like the sketched art style.
